Gonna try it  in a sec,
Lucy

hey Pahunk, the other day someone posted that they were having problems with connecting to the net, and that there were issues with ZoneAlarm fire wall and the latest microsoft security  update.. Zone alarm sent out fixes for the issue, I was just passing the information on. obviously not conscicely enough, my apologies.
It tells you how to remove the security fix, how to change settings on Zone alarm itself and also gives links to updated software(Zonealarm).
Hope this clears it up
Lucy

Thanks, Lucy. I had the same problem with Zone Alarm not allowing me to connect to the internet. I appreciate your sharing the info.

Btw, I also recently picked up a Rogue program that caused havoc with my machine. I am security conscious and have layered security but , yanno, the malware pricks are always coming up with new shit. Anyway, I finally found a program that , after doing a complete system scan, not only removed the Rogue but also some other pests that I had gotten along the way that my other malware software either couldn't detect or remove. The name of the program is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. It's a free program and works great. My machine now runs like new.

yeah thanks Cjan, I heard that it was pretty good from a number of sources, so I have it, I just need to tear myself off the board and get it installed.
Im pretty careful with security too...... I surf too many questionable sites not to have learned that lesson:)
oh btw if I ever find that penguin thingy , I will let you know:)
