JoePNY707 -> Vacation Fun! (7/13/2008 4:35:38 AM)

Hi folks!

I just got back from a week in Paris, where we all had a GREAT time (and set up the Paris office of the MLM)

So--I have JUST dragged in the suitcases, and maybe 15 minutes later, my wife announces that we should start planning for NEXT years vacation! OY!

Has anyone else just come back from vacation, or have a GREAT place they want to recommend?

(PS--it's good to be back! LOL)

My favorite country to visit is China, I've been several times and I want to return several more times!
Today I go to my favorite in-country city, Austin Texas.

Everything is packed, my toys are organized and bagged with a label "SEX TOYS, PLEASE DON'T HANDLE" [:D]. My boarding passes are printed and I am ready to go!

Thanks for the tip, Camille!

China is DEFINITELY on my list for someday...I'd love to see the tomb--at least what is currently open--of the first emperor of china, the great wall, etc

Never been to Austin--just Dallas, which I remember loving it--so much fun. Is Austin even better?

*grin* I'm glad you labeled your sex toys appropriately--now you can be sure that no one will peek inside!
(wonders why I didn't pack my sex toys the same way...)

Bienvenue aux Etats-Unis encore, Joe!  I'm glad your trip was so much fun.  I can't wait to go there some time.

Merci!

I'll give you lots of tips for cheap hotels, etc when you go--you will love it!

New Zealand! -  small enough to drive around, the natives speak their version of English, the currency is dollars and cents, the scenery is fabulous, you can snow ski, or lie on the beach and even do both the same day if you want. The flight there is a pain, but it is usually overnight so you get there in the morning which is way easier to adjust to IMO. the natives like americans, and other foreigners, the food is great/good depending on where you are.     Try it  - you will like it.

New Zealand--interesting! It DOES sound good--I've always planned to visit Australia some day--I'll have to add New Zealand to my itinerary--as long as I'm in the neighborhood. (after all, it IS a LONG haul to get there!)

dcnovice -> RE: Vacation Fun! (7/13/2008 10:16:33 AM)

I've been to New Zealand twice for work and loved it both times.

lilsubl -> RE: Vacation Fun! (7/13/2008 10:43:37 AM)

sooooo many places that i would love to see...but my favorite place that i've been is most definitely China...going there was the  fulfillment of a childhood dream...i was there before so many changes due to the free market economy had been wrought...seeing it now would undoubtedly be a bit of a shock from what i've read...but next time i go i will go to the coutryside, not the cities.......

I've been told the smaller cities and towns are the most interesting of all. These--and museums and such would be my first choice--thanks for the tips!

a cultural hi-light is to see the opening of a high level game of Rugby ... everyone should see a Haka!

Kiwis are close cousins to we Aussies, and we thrash them, and put them down at every opportnity - it's returned with vigour - a sport both parties excel and revel in!  Yet i'm yet to see anything to equal a Haka!

It'll take you about two days to see both islands of NZ, and you'll never see all of Australia ...

Italy...I've been three times and I love it.  Florence and Venice are two of the most wonderful places in the world, imo, esp if you love Renaissance art.

Thanks, Julie. I suspect you are right about not being able to see all of Australia, but I'd love to see the highlights, and Ayers Rock is one of my main interests.

@ lighthearted--Italy is one country I HAVE been to, and seen most of the major cities there. I would also recommend it to lovers of art and culture. Thanks anyway for suggesting it.
