I went to my first munch in 8 years last Sunday, it was RKS's anual picnic and I had the best time hanging with a wonderful lesbian couple and a few others. I we all stayed until the very end, and I even ended up taking an order from them for a custom made serpentine leather locking collar, which I finished last night and I am dropping off today.

Ooo! I want one too. Does it come with a cute little dyke girl already locked in it?

The real purpose of feminism (IMO) is this: women can and do think, women can and do create, woman can and do explore. Women can contribute greatly to a society, and they should be permitted to, even if it's not in a traditional way.

Sadly, the true purpose of the NOW organization seems to be focused more on advancing abortion rights then women's rights. IMHO, the two do not go hand on hand. I digress, back to topic.

Yeah, the few I've known have been pretty cool. I used to work with one at a client of mine. She was quite the connoisseur of feminine hiney (as am I) and used to point out the particularly supurb ones to me. Also used to challenge me to arm wrestle whenever I saw her, even though I had 100 pounds on her. Had to admire her spunk.

Yup. Sounds like a bull dyke to me! So did you ever check out her hiney? That's what I would have been doing ;)

I keep meaning to tell you. The avatar picture that you use in here shows your male slave as much smaller than you. That was a common device in roman paintings where slaves and free were depicted together. Slaves were always shown to be physically much smaller.

Hello,

I am not a woman, so my opinion may/may not have any relevance to what I believe the reason behind feminism is, but here you go.

Men and women are anatomically different. Additionally, their socialization in our society tends to follow two divergent paths from the moment they are born and the doctor sees which plumbing they have.

From my perspective, the Feminist writers who made the most sense to me were those who stated that a person should be allowed to be whatever they wanted to be whatever gender they are. In other words, gender or sexual preference should not be a factor in making decisions about an individual.

NOW has found an enemy (anti-abortionists) they can fight the good fight with, and have forgotten the purpose they were originally created for.

Of course. Definitatly ogleable. She was ex-army, and an avid runner. Always helps in the hiney department.

So funny you should mention that right now. I just posted something in Ask A Mistress all of 10 minutes about the avatar in response to a young man's query.

It is actually Japanese and the artist's name is Namio Harukawa. As I don't want to double post, follow the link please :)

Interesting about the roman paintings as well. Do you know any sites that depict such art? I studied Greek vases and their depictions quite extensively but I’d love to see the Roman’s work.

I lost whatever respect I had for NOW when they were absolutely silent about the Bill Clinton thing. If it had been a republican that did that, they would have been screaming that it was constructive rape, given the power differential involved. Having principals and having an agenda are not the same thing.

Who is really Dominant

Those whom are confident,
assertive, and can mentally
control another person or
situation with calculation and
a centered behaviour to Theirself
and control a social hierarchy
physicallly to a positive end for
its holdings in Their Opinions.

who is really submissive?
Those whom desire to be a part of
that which is established by a Dominant.

Can the one thrive and exsist with out the other?
Of course. Do either desire to? Of course not. JMO

I disagree with your definition of what a Dominant. I am Dominant in all my relationships outside of the D/s relationship. I am in complete control of my professional life. "I am the Queen of Shit Turd Island, if you don't like my shit, get the fuck off my island" type of mentality......until I am in the presence of my Dom/Master, then I am completely subservient in my mannerisms and nature. My need for submission does not make me less of a person, in fact, in my belief, it makes me stronger..... to give myself so completely to another...that is an act that requires strength of character and trust of myself to let go so completely. Whether or not the Dom has the strength of character to fulfill my needs, that remains to be seen and judged, then he is worthy of my gift.
IMHO, neither Dom nor sub are better or worse then the other. They are necessary to complete the other.

Your opinion on the topic of feminism is as relevant as you want it to be. ;) People who disqualify a person's opinion based on gender are not feminists, they're idiots.

When you compare Pamela Anderson with Arnold Schwarzenegger, yes. When you throw Marylin Manson or K.D. Lang into the mix, your statement starts to crumble. On this topic, I suggest Judith Butler . But she isn't feminist so much as she's post-structuralist.

Unless one of them had a strap-a-dick-to-me operation, or the other was bobbitized and neutered and taking hormone replacement therapy, they ARE anatomically different.

When I open a door for a woman, I am the watch dog caring for her. I get to view the field to care for her against any Wile E. Coyotes who may be stalking her.

I also get to watch her walk through the portal with grace and dignity as a lady.

M. Sinergy-

I always confuse them with this- I want to open the door, enter, tactical reload while scanning 360 for threats, then let her enter.

In most situations, I don't reload everytime I go through a door into a resturant (some neighborhoods, though). But the bit in my contract about letting hold the door, and enter first, usually causes some little impromtou waltzing.

In can be done with grace and some timing, but it does take practice.

Stay warm,
Lawrence

I'm almost afraid to ask what transpires in the earlier part of your evenings requiring a tactical reload later on.

Almost [:D]

That sort of thing.

Stay warm,
