First, I'll be brave and admit that I've made a few drunken posts.  There have also been a few times when I was rude to people just because I was in a really foul mood.  I'm working hard never to do that again.

Lately it does seem like the moderators are deleting a LOT of posts before I ever get to read them - some days half of the ones I have gotten email notifications on.  Since I didn't get to read them I have no clue what the reasons were.  Some of them looked like they were just rude by the title, but some looked like they might have some really interesting information.

I belong to a Yahoo group that is local to my area, and until you have been a member for 3 months it will take a minimum of 3 days for your post to go up - no matter how upbuilding it is.  In comparison, it is much easier here.

I've always thought bondage was the superior site.  It still is.  It was one of the first and has made it all these years.

There is a lot to offer anybody there.  "However" collarme is free.  Granted you can get a free membership on bondage as well.  Though that takes work.  I used to submit stories.

Here well its just free and it doesn't get any better than that.  Sure we are missing out on some of the quality content bondage has but that is because they pay some of those people for the content...hence we pay them.

A more "liberal" site is not necessarily better.  4chan.com is EXTREMELY liberal, and its a complete mess in terms of discussing opinions in a civilized manner.  In fact, that sentiment is a complete joke there =P.  While I've had a few posts either pulled or informally shut down by other members, I feel it's a slef correcting system which still gets the job done.  If your spelling and grammar and understanding of the world (D/s and otherwise) are all decent, the post will be met with honest feedback; which in my experience has been civil and helpful.

I like the CM format and community, it gets the job done =)

Will disagree with you about b.com being the superior site.  I lurked for a long time on b.com and was quite unimpressed, largely because of the threads.  I agree that the mods there are not quite as zealous as CM's, but because of that I found that it was something of a free-for-all, with a handful of people being *incredibly* obnoxious.  I know there is a group of new and not-so-new posters on CM who seem to enjoy being negative or egging others on to be negative.  Frankly, if the boards on CM became too unpleasant, I just wouldn't bother reading.  There's enough stress in my life just trying to get to and from work; I don't need to add any more.

That is only saying the boards are better maintained.  Not the site in it's entirety.  A site is a lot more than discussion boards.  It just so happens that is what we like to use.

A good point you make.  So, I shall clarify:  I find CM to be superior across the board (sorry about the pun).  I know this sounds elitist, but I felt that b.com attracted more of the certain calibre of person whom I wish to avoid.

sub4hire -> RE: Wondering... (7/15/2008 10:55:20 AM)

I won't disagree with you there.  I've never really chatted in their boards.  When I was searching so many years ago I did have an ad up.  Lots of losers..a few decent people.  I still communicate with one guy who lives in Ireland.  The only good one there and he lives a world away.

Yet, to learn...they've got some good informative articles...etc.

DesFIP -> RE: Wondering... (7/15/2008 3:23:33 PM)

B.com forums have different rates of moderation. You can say damn near anything in H.O. but a lot less in Relationships. And Politics is a place I'm afraid to venture into, I don't think the mods do either!

Here the rules are the same whether in Ask a Sub or Polls and Other Random Stupidities. I think that's why cme seems so much tighter moderated.

Firstly, those who know me know I'm way too uber to ever do anything while under the influence of any drink or substance etc - it just ain't in the "Dom's code"...! [8D]

I was once a regular poster at bon.com but tired of the site several years ago, except for the odd slow night at CM.  The bondage Forums just felt a little too cliquey for my liking, esp how opinions seemed to carry more weight on the Boards for the author of them moreso than the validity of what's expressed.  And I'm waaaay too obstinate and combative to acknowledge a cat is a dog just because 'X' says it is.....

So I do my fighting at CM now.... [sm=stickineye.gif]
