For Greedy Top

Thank you so much, i've been mentioning drop bears and drop bears and drop bears ... and congratulations... you are the first to ask!

to mimkyodar

how DARE YOU, steel my bait ... i mean REAAALY, ...

i'll 'fess up ...
there is no such thing as a Koala Bear, as the Koala is not a bear ... a misconception the NPW(ildlife)S has been trying to educate all (Australians included) for years ...
Wombats are nocturnal, think of a bison or hippo low to the ground, virtually blind that when struck by a car, think of immovable object and unstoppable force ... the Wombat usually dies and so does the car.
Tasmanian Devils are vicious nasty creatures, not unlike the Disney image ... and are close to being on the endangered list.

Drop Bears are an invention, i'm not sure by whom, that have developed into a tool to fool the unsuspecting ...

it's even reached the advertising world ... (watch the australain male at work ...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULEQpUY_crc

some have grabbed the idea and run with it and embellished it a tad ...

http://www.geocities.com/muirnin/db.htm

this gives a fuller and possibly accurate tale ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drop_bear

so when visiting australia the locals who warn you about the Drop Bears ... they are the ones you need to watch ...

Oh come on. I never claimed there were Koala bears -
But must you deny the existence of the drop bear? I mean, we have so many wierd animals, why can't we embellish a few?
And using wikipedia to prove a point - that's low.
I mean, that's full of fallacious claims. Like how the sky isn't bright pinkand how hypnofetishism is only an emerging kink... Emerging i ask you, go back and watch old batman, then tell me people weren't into erotic mind control in the 60s.

And another thing. People - Americans included, no offence to everyone Stateside - are always saying thigns like we're all convicts and making godawful episodes of the Simpsons about us.
Drop Bears are like one of the few things we have up our sleeves to get them back.

USA and Australia, were destinations for the convict rejects from the mother country ... it was the War of Indpendence (Revolutionary War) pick one, usuall based on which side of the atlantic you favour ...  that changed the destination from USA to Oz,
Simpsons, is just godawful, regardless of the victim.

and

um, no Drop Bears is just the start of the  l o n g  list ... weren't you at that conference ?

our fauna and flora are not wierd, we are unique ... that's why all those people will sit in cattle class for 24+ hours to come to Oz ... God's country!

The Aussie said, 'Why can't they f*cking play at night?'

Did you hear about the two (fill in whatever nationality you want) astronauts that were going to be the first to land on the sun? When asked about the extreme heat, they said they have that covered and have scheduled the landing at night.
