So who are these dead people you see?
Do you see them everywhere? Or just in certain places?
Do they talk to you, or want something?

I believe there are lost spirits.  We have ghosts who reside on the coast due their death in previous hurricane.
I also believe some people have problems passing from this side to the other side.
I belive their are good and evil spirits out there.   I hope I never run into one, but if I do, then I will let you all know about it.

I believe in ghosts... To me its not frightening because I am use to things "going bump in the night". My family ( my mom, brother, my neice and my 16 yr old daughter) have all had expierences with entities. My neice told her mother about a week ago that she talks to her Grandma Sherry who passed away last thanksgiving of cancer. When asked what she looked like she said a ghost but had hair.. * when she passed away she had no hair) I have heard my mother talking to my grandfather who passed away. I have seen several friends of my brothers and mine. My father passed away 6 years ago this past March.. and when my boss and I get into a fight I can hear my father like he is standing behind me in the flesh saying "Jesus Christ when you going to learn ?" Sends chills up my spine everytime it happens, but I am use to it... it doesn't bother me anymore. I have been in houses or old places where I get a creepy sense, or a sense of sadness... I am very sensative to dead people.
Here in Ohio we have the Mansfield State Reformatory. ( the prison that Shawshank Redemption was filmed at.) When you walk up to this massive but beautiful prison you get a overwhelming sense of sadness. And it is believed to be haunted. And with all the things I have read on it... it would not surprise me at all if it is.
I truly believe that people that pass on if they have something left to finish or tell someone that they stay around. Until that job or whatever is finished. Its all on how your precieve things. If you leave your mind open to it ... then things "might" happen. But if you close yourself off there then it won't happen. As odd as that sounds.
I guess my feelings are I have seen way to many things especially in my family to not believe in them. I have seen other things as well, but to me ghosts are very real. Doesn't make me strange or weird... puts my mind at ease to know those people who I can recognize are making sure I or my family are okay. And the ones I don't know ... that just makes it interesting...

Peace

Angelic

if i knew who they were i'd probably talk to them...but then if i talk to them wouldnt that make me insane?

i see them in random places...mostly for just a brief moment.

it is hard to know what they want when they talk..most of the time it is hard to understand...like a foreign language.  you can hear them thru things like radio's and tv's and such..there are people who live 24-7 listening to these electric devices for the specific reason of hearing dead people.

I'm such a hypicrit. Though I don't belive in ghost, I'm the first to say that I would haunt people after I die.

As for "ghost" it really depends upon what deffinition you use. Every living thing contains heat and energy. Once dead, that energy leaves and goes somewheres. Where does the energy go?

Some people view ghost as a spirit trapped or currently detained on earth.

Others see a ghost as a type of photograph or signature image left behind from a dead persons energy mark. Even though the soul/spirit has moved on, a magnetic power of sorts from the land takes an everlasting recording of you and can replay various events and actions.

Another term of ghost can be someone or something of the past that we strongly relate to either sympathicly and or empathicly to. For one reason or another, the story leaves behind a strong influence that many can connect with and continue to feel a presence.

In a christian sense, a spirit either goes to heaven, hell, or pergitury depending on denomination. However, there's no specific rule that says it's impossible for a spirit to stay on earth.

The strangest event I ever had was with my TV. As I pushed power, the TV would not turn itself off. After unpluging the damn thing, the TV stayed on for about half a minuet before turning off.

I also remember a time when a good friend of mine died. Shortly after her funeral, we started talking about one of her bad boy friends. Everytime the name of the guy was mentioned, thunder came from a  partly clear sky of white clouds within seconds. It's was easy to chalk it up to coincidence untill after ninth time in a row came around.

After watching the movie "White Noise" I noticed how we always had problems with our TVs in the Trauma ICU unit. For unknown reasons, brand new flat screen TVs would go to static in different rooms at random for various lengths of time. It had me thinking if ghost or sources of energy/essence could really send some type of message through a static television.

I don't belive in ghost. However, I do believe that everyone has story to tell and leaves a mark before moving on to the other side. Some people and  paranormal psychs call this a "Type of Ghost." But we'll never really know untill we cross the line and stay crossed ourselves.

i do believe, i do believe, i do, i do, i do!!!! as much as i believe in other dimensions that our feebles minds are less than adequate to conceive or comprehend.  sometimes i speculate on whether or not i am actually seeing ghosts or just some pyschic impression left in time.  the universe is so vast, realms of possibilities endless, there are things that have happened that no matter how hard i try to explain them away, i can't.  i want to, i just can't.  there are just some things i don't want to believe, i don't want to see, i don't want to hear, i don't want to know, so i just try to ignore it when i can and i do my best not to talk it about because as a doubting believer how can i expect anyone else to understand. my um's have unfortunately inherited this "curse" or "gift"  however you wish to view such things and what am i suppose to say when we are all experiencing the same thing?  it doesn't matter, we deal with our uniqueness but to actually be able to talk about such things (with them) that i use to just ignore or explain away rather than validate is now quite surreal. talking about it makes it seem even more real than what i want to believe. i don't want to believe, but i do.

the word unicorn is used in the bible at least twice that i know of, guess they just didn't make it on to Noah's big boat!  does anybody remember the unicorn song?  *gigglez* so because i believe in God, i guess i believe in unicorns, the devil, angels, and demons too.  i even believe in heaven and hell.  Werewolves, vampires, elves, gnomes, goblins, faeries, pixies, halflings, and all the other mythical creatures....(santa clause, the easter rabbit, the great pumpkin) i believe that there is always some bit of truth to the myths, the legends, and the traditions.

ooooh and oh, mini hijack.... and just a thought.... what if all the greek and roman gods were actually fallen angels.... and what if atlantis really did exist???  and what if the egyptians were transported to earth from mars, by aliens thousands of years ago?  there are somethings that we just can't assume to say in all certainty when anything that can be thought of has the potential of actually being or might have been done.

mysteries of the universe, some people get little peeks into it and others don't.  going on the basis that anything is possible, who am i to judge what someone else believes knowing full well that freedom of thought is infinite.  (until they start using those mind reading machines to police those thoughts as well)  hey, if it can be thought of it can be done, some of us don't even need machines.  *wink*

some serious thoughts, some tongue in cheek

Yes i believe in Ghosts and spirits , i know they are there  i have seen them ,felt them ,heard them .As often as i can i try and get EVPs  and do ghost spirit investigations .i have seen  many things yet have yet to capture a full body apparition . Many who i open up to about this  often ask about it and i tell some of the encounters , some even wish to go with me yet most chicken out in the end .I live in a house and share it with its former owner s ,  they are like caring grandparent types  and have even told me when i am up late at night to go to bed . And Yes i am hooked on Ghost hunters and most haunted and ghost hunters international  for TV viewing .I was even  try'n to sneak in some time at the famous stanley hotel in colorado while i am at Thunder  but highly doubtful i shall have the time .. pouts ..

I'm particularly interested in those who believe in god, angels, and the devil (just another angel), but not ghosts or other creatures of myth.

when my grandfather died, he had exactly one grandchild, and he thought she hung the moon and the stars and i'm not sure but to him she probably inspired the sunshine too.  he would have spoilt me entirely rotten if he had lived longer.

i lived with my grandmother on and off because my first husband had a habit of leaving me.  anyway...i slept in the front bedroom of the house.  to open the door, you had to lift up on the doorknob, push the door in slightly, and turn the doorknob while lifting up on it...or the doorknob would come off in your hand.  and you had to tug slightly to get the door across the carpeting in the living room...yes the door opened outwards into the living room and not into the bedroom.  the house was built in the 1800's, it was slightly peculiar.  no issue, it just was the way it was.  but that door would NOT open easily.

one night, i'm lying on the bed reading, my oldest was sleeping in the crib, the dog was breaking house rules by lying on the bed with me  (*snickering*  she was a good dog)...and the door opened.  the doorknob lifted, the door swung smoothly across the carpeting and there was the empty living room behind the open door.  miss doggie-dog, who was prone to growling when anyone came near her mama or "her" baby...lifted her head and looked, cocked her head to one side, and looked quizicall.  no growling.  and i heard "my sunshine" spoken by a male voice.

i believe that there are ghosts that are just imprints of past occurances, like a movie clip looped on constant repeat.  i believe that there are others that are actual intelligent haunts.  i know that i occasionally smell english leather cologne, which my dominant fallcon wore.  no one in the house wears it, and i'm generally alone when i just get suddenly strong whiff of it which fades pretty fast.  he promised to look after me.

then again, "knowing" seems to run in my family.  *shrugs*  believe me or not, it doesnt change what i've seen/heard/felt. (smelled.)  its just part of everyday to me.

I have never experienced a ghost in my fifty years. A spiritual friend of mine, though, claims that she experienced the ghost of a sheep that was attached to a sheep skin that she bought.
That does not suffice for me. I have no reason to assume that ghosts do exist. On the other hand I do suspect that phenomena that may be misidentified as evidence of the existence of ghosts do occur.

I have never read about reptilian aliens either. I do not think that they exist.

Nor do I believe in zombies, unless they are drugged people.

Vampires, werewolves, dragons, unicorns, fairies, gnomes, demons, and sprites do exist.

I have seen a huge spaceship up very close (from six or seven metres) myself. I am convinced that it was not extraterrestrial, but manmade.

It all boils down to energy of one form or another. Spirits, ghosts, magic, strange tricks of light, divination, auras, phantom limbs, and so many other strange indescribable phenomenom. Is any of it real? That's for each individual to decide for themself.

I am amused when someone describes one facet of the supernatural as possible and real, yet other equally possible ideas as inconcevable. This stretches to deities as well. I mean if one exists, why not all of them? Just a thought.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a "ghost" but I lived in two different places where some sort of energy or spiritual entity was hanging out regularly.  It was experienced by others in the household as well, even by visitors who were not informed in advance.

It made for interesting conversation.

i believe that the vast majority of 'ghosts' are simply images (or sounds or smells) 'recorded' within the natural electro-magnetic field present in certain areas.  This would account for many people seeing the exact same image played over and over again.  Since we use magnetic media to record even these images on our computers... do they really exist?  Both yes, and no.  They are not 'real' in a physical sense yet we can all see them because of magnetism.  Such may be exactly the same thing for 'ghosts'.

There are far too many reports of people 'seeing' family members close to the time of the relative's death, to completely dismiss.  Could there be something hidden in our DNA that allows such energy to be transmitted and recieved based on close DNA association?  Why not?

Can these things be measured?  Well you can measure electromagnetic fields, you can measure heat and other energy souces.  Proof positive of ghosts?  i don't think so.  But when all measurements add up to something that cannot be explained by other natural, mechanical, or man-made sources, then we call that Paranormal which simply means "beyond the normal".

Do i personally believe?  You betcha.  i've had too many personal experiences to be a doubter.

I believe, and am psychic. It's not imagination, but perception. I can for example walk into any room in any building and know if someone has died in that room, and I can often walk up to the very same spot where they died. I have a poltergeist in my apartment which appears when I'm really stressed out, depressed or in conflict. It slams doors, moves things. So many strange things have happened that I know there is such a thing as the spiritual world.

But knowledge is one thing, belief is another, and understanding is again something else altogether.

I definitely believe that there are spirits, or other entities of some sort. I also believe that there are higher powers that we simply don't understand or couldnt possibly understand. Just as people saying that there are no such things as aliens makes absolutely no sense at all. You mean to tell me that of all the trillions of other planets in the universe, the Earth just happened to be the only one that is habited by some form of life? Really?! Science has become so many people's religion nowadays; especially in western society; that anything we can't touch, test, or prove with HARD evidence just doesnt exist. Kind of makes me think of the System of a Down song "Science".

I used to be someone that guffawed when a person said they had a paranormal experience, I was highly sceptical and always believed there was an explanation of a scientific nature for just about everything. That was until my grandad died in the family home, he was a creature of habit and I never believed in 'ghosts' until the day I moved back into the family home, and occupied the bedroom that was once his only to have him regularly sit at the foot of my bed when I'd be reading late at night and get up when I would tell him to "bugger orf".  He also hated the fact I was using his old tallboy and would find both doors flung open, draws pulled out with the contents strewn across the floor - this when the only occupants of the house would be sitting together in the evenings. Did he know I was there? of course not, of that I have no doubt and do believe that what I was experiencing were 'imprints' left by him of a repeated pattern of behaviour.

There are lots of areas of the brain we have little understanding of, and I know for a fact that programmes have long been in existence on ways in which we can control matter using nothing but our minds.

Ghosts exist. I've experienced them, mostly by sight, although sometimes it was auditory and sometimes just a feeling.
