Whilst I was checking directions to someones house in Tampa, FL on google map, I decided to use the satelite function and then after checking the route out I decided to see if you can see my house in France. And what do you know.......you can!!!! Man the internet is amazing...........however now I'm feeling just a tad home sick........lol For those of you who may be interested to see where I live in France.........just go to http://maps.google.com/ And enter "Les Boiges 24320" in the search box. Click on the "satellite" button and increase the zoom. My house is the triangular shaped property to the right of the address balloon. The oval shaped object is the swimming pool.

Iain, i'm curious as to what plans you have for the rest of your time in the U.S. not that it's my business, just wondering...when you made plans to come here did you only have your initial 2 weeks stay planned and then were just going to play it by ear? i ask because traveling abroad by myself isn't something i'd dare to do. any luck finding a new place to stay for a while?

Well Christine as I only hit on the idea of coming here 5 days before I got here.......the short answer is no I did not plan much past my two week stay with GT. And yes I was going to play it by ear. The plan was to get a car ASAP and do some exploring........ However my bank in France have dragged their feet somewhat in getting me my new credit card so I haven't been able to get a car. Thankfully I should have it by the end of the week. (The card.) As to finding a new place to stay.........I'm going to check out a place near here today.

I do love the satellite views on Google Earth. I use that program all the time. And yes, it can create a bit of nostalgia and homesickness if I am looking at the right things.

Ian, What happened between you and GT is none of my business. I enjoy reading both of y'alls posts. I don't judge people I don't know. You've never done anything to irritate me, so you're cool in my book. RedMagic likes to appoint himself as the moral authority on these boards. He strikes me as a phony, and he's tried to pull his holier than thou crap with me. So I don't give him much credence. I hope you enjoy your stay here, and I hope you and GT work everything out. You both seem like decent people to me. It's none of my business, and I am not a gossip. So I haven't made any judgment calls.

Hmmmm....my computer keeps freezing up when I try to use google maps, so I have no proof that France is there, I will have to take your word that it is. I think I need to upgrade soon.

ARE YOU TRYING TO GET ROBBED OR MURDERED???? You just posted directions on how to find your home, complete with sattelite imagery on the internet? In Iains defense...if i'm not mistaken, his family's home also doubles as a resort/b&b, so i believe there is some sort of staff etc. Not exactly as prone to cat burglary as it may seem. edited to add...sorry i guess he addressed that already.
