I'm having a hard time finding the right corset. I'm very thin and less than an A Cup. I also think wearing one during the acts could restrict me from things like bending over. Any advice ladies?

Have you tried Fredericks of Hollywood or Adam & Eve?  They both sell online.  I can't imagine one that fit well would limit your movement.  I don't have problems and feel so sexy when I have one on.

Depends on what style and make of corset you get.  Some corsets are fashion with plastic boning and pretty but weak fabrics.  Pick one without a cup and you'll be able to enjoy that and not have any restriction of movement.

Some corsets are functional with steel or literal bone boning and either sturfy fabrics or thin fabrics with linings.  Again, pick ones without cups and they will do you fine, but will definitely require more awareness of your place and body position.

If you want a real, functional corset - FORGET about chain stores!  And get ready to loosen up your purse strings because you get what you pay for.

My personal favorite site is:  www.Ren-Fashions.com
The corset I personally want is:  http://www.renaissancefashions.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=55

Another site that also does very good work and has similar hard leather corsets:
www. ladyheathersfashions.net

And a third just for fun:  www.Corset1.com

Enjoy!

I just got my first corset the other day and I love it,  many corsets are very expensive though however I got mine here:
http://www.glamourboutique.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=203
and it was around $100 which is really cheap for a quality corset.    It works wonders for me ;)  I already can't wait to get the next size down ;)
I have a pic on my profile wearing it (yay for collarme for very fast approval on that one only a few hours wait heh)
This may not be the best of corsets but it is definitly a very good buy and a good place to start for a first corset :D
I"m pretty inexperianced with them as this is my only one but never the less i think it's great and does exactly what I want it to do for a reasonable price.
I wore it out (under my clothes)  and noticed that it forced me into proper posture for walking and for sitting for that matter.   An added benifit no doubt as I tend to slouch.

I remember I knew a place for tight-lacing corsets to wear 18+ hours a day every day. The corsetiere was a tight-lacer herself and had achieved the extremely hourglass figure of 38-19-39. I lost the bookmark about a year or two ago...if anyone knows about this one please post the link.

38-19-39 wow,    I'd wear my corset 18 hours a day (if I could) :D  I think I've worn it about 15 hours today 12 hours yesterday and about 7 hours friday when i got it.   but it's a little tough at work as it is a little noticable even under baggy shirts.   So probally I will end up doing 4-5 hours an evening and then maybe 12 hours or so on weekends until i get the desired hourglass figure ;)   I don't think I'll be going anywhere near 18inches though   I think maybe 28-30 max would be great though.  right now I'm at 38 with the corset (about 42 without it).

Are you thinking of Amy Crowder/Wasp Creations?  I just dug up the site, but see it hasn't been updated in a year:

Yeah pretty sure that's the one, thanks.

If I wore a corset I could get a waist to 19-20 inches, but my hips and bust wouldn't reach 38 probably (I'm only a 32-25-32 now).

Hi Jupiterfalling
i have a general love for history, and in particualr English, around Tudor/Elizabethan and Victorian/Edwardian periods.
This is my experience ... found a shop front by accident and spent several hours trying them on.
like you i'm very small breasted ...
there are waspies, start just below the breasts and stop just passed the hip bone, they were worne over a shirt/chemise, you often see the washerwoman wearing them in period movies.
there are corsets, short and long line, near the armpit and stop just passed the hip or you can have a long line that goes to just above the pubic mound.  Movies set in victorian/edwardian england have them, think of the movie the Titanic dinner settings ..
The corsetry can lace up or have a basque think two pieces of metal one with lumps the other with hooks/ or circles and they interconnect, some come with zippers.  I don't recommend the zippers.  There basque gives a nice line.  This is a sample of a waspie with a basque front http://www.galleryserpentine.com.au/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=108
A well-designed garment should be able to be drawn (laces pulled in) by the wearer.  Some will come with a courtesy panel, so that if the sides of the corset don't come together, the skin is not exposed.
the line of the corset, can make a difference depending on your body shape, a straight line http://www.galleryserpentine.com.au/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=116
or a heart shape http://www.galleryserpentine.com.au/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=222
The material/media it's made from can make a difference, i supplied my own fabric.  I was advised it should be a soft furnishing fabric like on couches and chairs for longer wear.  however i've seen them in PVC, leather, silk, cotton.
When trying them on, try to leave it on for awhile and walk around do the movements you think you'd be doing ... is it possible are you comfortable.
I'm not at all intersted in waist training ... this is a practice to actually change the shape of your body ... i belive it can constrict internal organs and i believe it requires the wearing of the corset for 10-12 hours a day, everyday.
the corsets of shown here are not designed for that.  When deciding how tight, i breathe in a little tie the lacings and walk around a bit, climb a flight of stairs, and if i can still speak (a little breathlessly) it's good for me.  the feeling of being held/restrained is a delight and yet i'm mobile.
Think what you want the corset for, don't buy off the net if you can avoid it.  this is a very personal garment, take your time, i've a waspie for social occasions, and for light play have an Edwardian long line ... i'm looking for a third, this one will be my first leather or pvc for more 'messy' occasions

hope this helps you

InkedMaster bought a lovely corset for me on-line, custom made.  It is an under-bust style with heavy bone stays yet i can certainly bend over.  The trick is to bend at the hips and knees, not at the waist.   A quality custom-made corset is going to be pricey but worth it in my opinion.

Now, if you're just looking for fashion, or looks, you can purchase at retail stores and there's nothing wrong with that, especially if you aren't really looking for body modification.  I have three I've purchased from high-end department stores and they are just lovely and available in A cup sizes.  Also, there's absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing gel inserts to help fill out the cups if necessary.

I have the same problem.  I have a great attraction to corsets and I was actually looking around last week on one of the websites that advertise on collarme, and as I was reading it was very clear that the corset wouldnt really do much to 'help' or accentuate my body.  On teh site it said that the corsets will increase your bust, shape your hips, flatten the tummy and the only thing that would be beneficial to me woudl be increasing the bust size (or make it look like its bigger), which has never been an issue for me.  So sadly, I stopped my search...atleast momentarily.  Perhaps you can get one just for play or to feel sexy.

Hello. I am not a lady but I do love leather corsets. An above poster said to not buy them off of the net. I agree with that it you want something specifically made from certain materials for that "super" custom fit. But leather is a tad bit different. It does stretch and mold to your body unlike some of the heavier fabrics. My girl is a size 0 and has a 22 to 24 inch waist and I have purchased corsets for her in the past. She wears an extra small size and I had no problems finding her a corset to fit . Most online sellers will have sizing charts to help you choose the size that will fit you best and the reputable ones with always exchange the item for a smaller or larger size. I had purchased one for a friend from an Ebay seller here recently and had wonderful luck with their product. Waist cinching corsets are a bit more versatile and do allow more freedom of movement when the person is active and might be what you are looking for. They are also more versatile when it comes to wearing over other styles of clothing imo and having a smaller bust size does not affect their fit.

Here are some leather links.

IMHO Buy Custom if you are a tiny person... hell if you want a decent fit in general... I have been wearing corsets since I was 16 I am in the process of being able to afford a good tightlacing corset. A corset (fitted properly) Should never be uncomfortable. Bend at the hip and knees. I suppose if you just buying a corset to wear to the club ... one a week... off the rack wouldnt be to bad but  Im am very big on buying custom.

If your interested in tightlacing check out:

Kat and I added tight-lacing to our latest contract.  We ordered a corset from Axfords (www.axfords.com).  Their corsets are lovely and not really that expensive (I think the total was £130).  Her training begins as soon as it arrives.
