Its a long article. It sadly points out the favors our wonderful government got with kind finacing deals. No wonder congress thinks we should use our money to bail these greedy losers out, they are in the tank for them.

But dont worry about having to hear about it in the news. Too many democrats for this to ever be exposed in the mainstream.

But if you wonder why the housing market is in shambles, look no further than our trusted lawmakers and the greedy CEOs they are all in bed with.

I haven't even looked at your link and already I believe your views are unbalanced and off target. You have demonstrated a partisanship that I don't believe serves us well, or is in accordance with what is truly going on.

There is way less edge and attitude in my words than is apparent. The net and the written word are easily misinterpreted (even possible I misinterpreted yours).

I am not partisan in the opposite direction. I don't have those biases.

Instead I consider that being distracted by taking sides of right or left, liberal or conservative, Dem or Rep, is exactly what the ultimate "string pullers" want us to do.

I consider there is essentially one over riding issue and that it controls just about everything else. But it is an issue few ever think of. That is testament to the success of the divide and conquer strategy.

The issue is money, who makes it, who distirbutes it. I don't mean who earns it, I mean who prints it up and passes it out.

Very true Uncle Nasty

"Divided We Fall"

They keep us fighting amongest ourselves so we never form a strong single voice to make changes.

I mean look at tthe what people are discussing on this board alone, people are picking apart the most mundane concepts and twisting them to fit their own ideals.  I have basically stopped posting to the political posts, they are all basically the same.

Much as I think Bush has been an unmitigated disaster, I do appreciate his efforts to block the Franks-Dodd bill. This bill would single out the mortgage defaulters and bail out the loans at 85%.  It's bad enough on the face, but the result would STILL be vacant homes that would invite hookers and drug dealers to trespass and move in.

If you go out there and do your home work, you will find out that Barack Obama got his house through one of these types of deals. Kind of scary isnt it?

A bunch of people have been spending plastic money since 1995 and now the bill is in the mailbox and their pockets are empty? Who woulda thought? Surely there must be a shadowy governmentally connected elite responsible!

Does one need to be without a college degree to be honest? *Hijack: over.*

Kittin, well I'll tell ya what, I was a lot more "honest" without one!
I never had one 'till I was 40 years of age and I never missed any 'thing!
Do you realize that you don't need a "degree" to become President of the United States?

Certainly, it looks as though the current president of the United States won his degree at his local county fair (creepy!). You know, the man who will be remembered for presiding over this whole mess, housing catastrophe included? Otherwise, I'm not sure how you make the leap between degree and honesty, but I'm sure you have your reasons  .

KittinSol, you'll get no argument from me on that!
If I owned a Business and a "YALE" graduate came in looking for a job he or she would be sent packing.
Now "Harvard" could be put to use in the Janitorial Dept.

Even in the Military they didn't like them.
"We'll have to keep close watch on this Ensign so that we don't have to "send a letter."
They fucking "get in the way."
And,....which is more "dangerous" they have a sense of "entitlement".
I saw an Ensign who went to RICE U. bend over and pick up a coffee cup that some schmuck Sailor had discarded.
He went to Engineering school and had actually helped design a "parachute packing machine!"
Guys from Harvard and "YALE" you have to "babysit."
Gets dicey if someone's shooting at you.

"O LOV-EY! Who are those POOR PEOPLE stuck to the Electric Fence?"
"I do believe I'll have another SINGLE MALT SCOTCH!"  (CUNT!!!)

uncle nasty,

i am new here so it may take a bit to get where i am coming from. we have a similar outlook as far as divide and conquer. My mentiion of dems was only to point out that part of the DAC is the media making the dems to be angels and blaming the GOP, when in reality they are ll smoking from the same hooka and we are paying for the dope they smoke.

Whoever thinks that huge banks FannieMae and gigantic brokerage houses were to fail because people bought houses they couldnt afford is very simplistic. Banks know if someone will default. They know if they canafford it or not.

In order for a bank to give out so many bad loans as to bring down such huge institutions it takes more than short sighted people looking to buy a house they cant afford.

They are responcible for giving the loan, just as the buyer is responcible for taking it. If the banks thought they would be held responcible for all these bad loans they would never have given them out. But they knew they had the politicians in there back pocket, thanks to sweetheart deals we the people could never get. They knew  they would be bailed out.

They didnt care about how many houses would go into forclosure because within a month that loan was off there books and bought by a union pension fund or some poor slobs retirement account.

Now that we get fucked on our loans, and fucked on our retirement, we can bail out the poor bastards who managed to drive multi billion dollar institutions into the ground.

Predatory lending practices brought on my GOP deregulation of that industry. (Phil Gramm was one of those responsible. i.e. "We're all a bunch of whiners." Saying that is like your Domme fucking you with "King Kong" and telling you to stop squirming and take it like a man...")

Oh, and the same guys (republicans, back when they had the majority) sponsored the legislation that deregulated market speculation on oil and gasoline futures... can you guess where that's led us?

Is this relevant? I dunno... if you vote for these people again, aren't you basically telling them than you like being fucked until your are dead?

Bill Clinton was a GOP president when he signed that legislation in 1993?  And having less members than the Democrats made the Republicans the 'majority party' in 1993?
Or is this more of your 'creative' history, like the party of Lincoln founded the Klan, and the McCain was born to a drunk in a racist country club nonsense?

If you are on the right side, why the need to make up so many BS stories to defend it?
