My name is Leoben, I am a 21 year old male dominant from Vancouver, Washington, which I must say is far more beautiful and comfortable than anywhere else in the world I've visited.
My primary intellectual interests lay either in reading or writing. I read a lot of pre-1946 political theory, history (primarily classical/Hellenistic/Roman, etc), philosophy (mainly ethics and morality; Confucianism primarily), literature such as George Orwell or Shakespeare and not Tom Clancy crap, evolutionary science, and religion. I write poetry, ranging from dark to depressing to triumphant, and I write short stories, such as one I wrote recently called Poland Lives (which I may import to this forum if I find an appropriate spot). I am working on two full-length novels I plan on finishing within 5 years should the "Muse" permit.
I would consider myself a deeply spiritual pantheist, but most people would never guess that because I have a very materialistic approach to life and because I rarely tell people I personally know about my spiritual beliefs.
I've spent the last five years being a member of various intellectual debate forums, so debate is one of my stronger points I suppose. I usually wouldn't use this forum for anything, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
