I think I know what you mean camille - I'm not really into group scenes, so clubs and public play are not immediately attractive and one can feel rather untwue and unweal when others (whom one admires) clearly have so much fun.

But I've met a few ppl from CM (regular posters) in the last few months, almost by accident it seems - with delightful results. 2 from the US and 4 now from the UK (and a couple from the other side). As one might expect, people one respects on the boards command the same respect in r/l (and are the same good fun). Of course it's easier to meet them just as friends, rather than as potential life partners on a date; but I didn't feel "wow you're that famous person", more "hey, how good to see you at last" and it makes seeing them post now a touch more warm and fuzzy. None of them was scary ... apart from thingy. And maybe wotsit. (You know who you are!).

I just know that you meant that with sarcasm.

Status: offline 		I was just sitting here thinking and realized I don't think I have met anyone from this site. Talked to quite a few via the phone. Share emails with a few off and on. Yet, I have met alot of people from the net over the years. Some were awsome and remain great friends, others.......not so much so.

I don't think I've ever been nervous about meeting someone. Usually I had taken enough time to get a feel about the person. The people I never saw again and thought....ewww, I kinda had the feeling it was going to be that way and the meeting only confirmed it.

My lifestyle and general "lack of give a damn nature" makes meeting me difficult.

I am always a bit taken aback when someone has expressed nerves about meeting me. I am such a goober and goofball, a simple meeting with me is about the least scary thing a human being will ever face in their life. The ONLY reason to be nervous or scared would be if that person intended some sort of harm to me or mine.

A BBQ maybe, since I just put half a beef in the freezer. Build a big bonfire and stay up all night listening to the coyotes.
