This picture KILLS me. SO HOT! http://www.ropermike.com/trouble/images/Rescue-Dawn/Rescue-Dawn-1588.jpg Apparently no batman in bondage in "Dark Knight." I will see it anyway. But how about Christian Bale tied up in Rescue Dawn. I haven't seen the movie because I feel a little guilty getting so hot and wet from portrayals of true-story-torture, but maybe I'll rent it and try to drool over Christian-the-actor-helpless and not the real story behind it. There's no Bat-Bondage in TDK. There is, however, creepy torture and the bondage of other characters... Also, the Joker is a highly sadistic masochist. Amazing movie. I can't say enough good things about it. I'd call it the greatest comic book movie ever, but comparing it to Spiderman II isn't doing it justice. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen. You are so lucky you are an owned sub, or this thread seriously could have gone into a discussion of "scent". What were we talking about? Oh yes. The movie. I've heard that it's quite good. Not what one would expect from a "comic book" movie. Though, I'm waiting to see if it has anything in it to rival My favorite quote from the Batman flicks. "There's something about an anatomically correct rubber suit."

LadyPact not sure if I appreciated the"not what one would expect from a 'comic book"movie crack.As one who first learned to read from comic books and is estatic that they are making good quality adaptations i am hurt by Your obvious scorn for the genre! There are of course ways You could make it up to me....

Yeah, this movie definitely is one of the best you will see this year. Although I have to agree with many of the critics and reviewers in saying that I WOULD NOT take a child to see this movie. With the amount of violence and disturbing premises that The Joker presents they dodged the R rating by a hair. That said....Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) did a phenomenal job as Clown Prince. While Jack Nicholson's portrayal was closer to the comic book in terms of balancing violence, off key humor, and madness...Ledger's portrayal was alot more believable which made him all the more disturbing and menacing. Damn good movie.

You take offense to that? Between Batman and Robin and Spiderman 3...most comic book movies are mindlessly stupid. I love comic books as much as the next guy. I grew up reading them and some of my fondest memories are reading them with my Dad. That being said...the genre has far more bad eggs when it comes to films than it does when it comes to good ones. I also the second not taking younger, more impressionable viewers to see this movie if you don't think they can handle it. DV's Fox

I have to agree with Shawn on the ratio of good comic book movies to bad ones. It is ridiculous how many comic book movies are complete crap due to Hollywood taking it's own liberties with something already established. Christopher Nolan is one of the FEW who has taken liberties but still retains the core essence of the comic and even heightens it. Psssh....look at Ang Lee's version of The Hulk and how that completely fucked that franchise over. Nuff said true believers.....

Actually, I happen to like comic book movies. Of course, some are better than others. I don't think the Hulk was fantastically done. Speaking of fantastic, I wasn't thrilled with the Silver Surfer either. The first one was better. The Batman series has been pretty good, though I really do wish they would pick one damn Batman and stick to him. Sorry, I don't like having to wait in a series before someone actually calls the guy "Mr Wayne" before I can figure out who in the heck the new guy is supposed to be. The Spiderman series has been relatively good. Can't say I was as entertained with the third one as I was the previous two. Without having seen The Dark Knight, to date, the best has been X-Men. Then again, that comes from someone who wishes they'd bring the Heroes series back to tv. The Hulk might have flopped, but you really can't say bad things about Stan Lee. He's been bringing us superheroes and interesting characters for decades. I see him in the same way many of the Trekers see dear, departed Gene. Long may he live.

Hahahah...ok, but am I the only sick that finds the picture incredibly HOT? I am so visually turned on it's not even funny. That's just an awesome pose. EDIT TO ADD; Speaking of hot photo, sub guys, I think THIS is the kind of picture,pose to do for your profile - it's freaking HOT and suggestive but not blatantly sexual. I would not suggest it as your MAIN photo of course. But as a photo, if it's done kind of artsy with some nice lighting, big thick ropes even, with half the face hidden, eyes looking up like that...holy crap. Akasha

The pic isn't bad, but since I usually don't do that much damage to the face, I didn't care for that part. Second best line from a Batman movie...... "You know, mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it." "But a kiss can be even deadlier, if you mean it."

I never really noticed it until you pointed it out - I was way too fixated on the eyes and hair. I have no idea if I don't notice that because the other parts are more distracting to me (and I see it as a "pose" not a real thing, if that makes sense), or if I am used to seeing facial lacerations because I watch so much freaking hockey :) Akasha

I'm just going to add that yes, this is a great movie, and not just compared to other comic book movies. It's a good movie compared to Heat, Gattaca, V for Vendetta & Fight Club. Dont take your kids.

Reading that list of movies turned me on just a little; now if only you were one of the lovely women around here, it would probably have turned me on alot.
