Midear Cheeky- Of course, this is only my two cents: 'old guard' is fine as a adjective. It generally mean the the person in question has a fen for protocols, structure, has good manners, and takes this stuff seriously, putting in the time to to learn their skills. "Old Guard" as a noun is a myth of a long ago underground rigidly heirachical SM organisation. To me, to be Old Guard in this sense, you must be a gay man who's been doing this stuff before the Stonewall Riot. Stay warm, Lawrence
