Need some help deciding on what to wear with my corset this weekend.  Haven't worn it out in *public* yet and the skirt that came with it simply does not fit at all.  Yea, should have sent it back but it truthfully doesn't matter since i can't really wear skirts too much.  Between knee and foot surgery, i'm pretty restricted on what type of shoes i can wear so anything that looks better with any type of heel i avoid completely.
 
Have tried it with a black skirt but it just looks funny to me, plus the shoe problem.  So my question is ..... has anyone worn a corset with jeans/slacks and how many funny looks did you get for doing it?  I sooo want to wear it but shy me questions the *fashion statement*.  Would rather be heckled here [:D]

Corsets look good paired with just about anything.  I have worn mine with jeans, broomskirts, minis, stockings, and nothing.  With everything going on up above I doubt that anyone will complain about what you wear with it.

None of my corsets look right over jeans, but I wear them with other pants as well as various kinds of skirts.

I love corsets.  I wear them with jeans, shorts skirts, as well as "boy shorts." A short corset with leather pants is a nice look, bu perhaps too hot for summer.

Thank you both soooo much for answering!!  I've tried it on with a pair of black jeans and it seemed to look ok but having not actually seeing anyone else ever wear one that way... yea a bit nervous about it. 
 
The corset is dark green with a black trim.. realllly want to wear it and feelin a bit better about it after hearing it's been done before :)

If you want to wear it out in public, you can make a really hot little outfit by wearing a shirt under it as well as slacks or jeans.  I've worn mine over a baby doll t-shirt or big fluffy 'pirate/peasant' blouses.

I personally like the wifebeater tank top underneath the corset with some dark dark jeans, or slacks that match the corset color. My favorite outfit with my corset is a big poofy skirt I have, because it makes it look like a ball-gown, but for more casual jeans would be great.

oh and an edit to say: I have some black jeans, and when I wear those over my corset (which goes to about my hips), it looks fantastic. All I need is a studded belt

I'm waiting to hear how your outing went, and how you felt about the pants combo.

I've done jeans with corsets before, and enjoyed it.  Honestly I don't recall how other people reacted.  = )

I have a pair of short boots without a heel that I wear under the jeans, and I think that looks fantastic.

If you have boots, I'd say go with those - they add a fantastic note to the corset/jean combo.  If you don't, you can get a decent kind of boot (usually) at sears for under $50.  Don't rule out the young women's shoe section, a lot of the kids love those kinds of shoes ;)

Ok, so *public* may not have been exactly right, was wearing the corset to Wicked Eve in Detroit but it still counts as "public" in my mind because i've never gone anywhere not dressed in "street clothes". 
 
The corset was an anniversary gift from Mistress, and had yet to be worn anywhere but Her home; so what i wore (didn't wear) with it, had never been an issue. 
 
I had found a (really) short black skirt and a pair of black knee high boots with a low heel but was still hesitant to wear it with anything but jeans.  Shy, nervous..... preferring to just blend, melt into the background..not be *seen*.
 
So, i put the decision in Mistress' hands.  Of course She selected the skirt, fishnet stockings and boots.  [8|]  Having no voice, it's kinda hard to beg my way out of it.   She just took away my dry erase board and said "decision made" [8|]
 
Took me about 20 minutes to find the nerve to walk out of the bathroom at our munch leaders home but i did it.  The long drive to Detroit dressed like that let me get my nerve back up to walk into a new house and meet the group we'd be attending Wicked with.  Between the approval of my Mistress and the wonderful company, i had a most enjoyable evening. 
 
So, when in doubt....trust Mistress [:)]

Yes, I have and have some pics.  Personally, I do prefer skirts, but nobody ever raised an eye when I showed up in corset and jeans.

I prefer skirts as well but my wife has worn a similar outfit and it looked very hot!

I did a Google Images search. I also saw that the official website is gone.
My wife made the same outfit but we don't have a good photo.
