Why is it some posters have the [Awaiting Approval] badge? Is it a CM forum internal working thing or a submissive needing owner's approval thing?

Although that submissive needing approval thing would be a pretty cool feature. If you listed yourself as 'owned', the person you tagged as your 'owner' could have, as an option, that your posts would go into purgatory to wait till He (She) got around to approving them. Then there could be a little 'approved' stamp, like some people already use as a sig line - this message approved by XYZ. LOL Master is a micromanager, but I am given coplete freedom in my communications. He would never want to do this - can you imagine him having to read all of MY posts? I got that cute little paddle by my name - and I didn't get it by typing 'uh-huh'. I am a VERBOSE little slut LOL.

It means the Mods are not sure if you are here just to be a troll, so they put you on a delay so they can monitor your posts... any that push the limits of TOS, or that actually break them, are "filtered" out before the offending opinion can be read by others. They seem to use the tool pretty fairly... (I've been put "on approval" a couple times, and I usually deserved it. What can I say? I'm a pretty passionate guy on certain subjects.) :)

As I understand it, it means you haven't played nice and the Mods are reviewing your posts before allowing them to be posted. I believe those who are moderated like this know about it beforehand, because they have received an email from a Moderator explaining this.

I see the same handful of people take their turns being moderated here and honestly I can understand why when I read their posts when they aren't moderated. I have to give a tip of the hat to the moderators here. I have seen no heavy handedness similar to what I see on a regular basis over on the other large fetish sites. These forums are far and away much better than the others. I'm glad the other site I used to visit regularly crashed and was down for several days back in November - were it not for that I might never have discovered the CM forums.
