I was sitting here in anticipation, waiting to see what your comeback would be in this enjoyable exchange of insults....and I get something equivalent to Pee Wee Herman's "I know what you are, but what am I?".

Do you have any idea how much of an anticlimax that is? I feel like I just took a plunge off a cliff.

    I feel you’ve all most nailed it.  The core aspect that I see as the cause for some of the mistakes and miscommunications in this thread is found in a quote by Leatherist:

    Slave – no control, non negotiable surrender but basic human rights.  Think of it as being in the military service, you have the same anti cruelty rights as livestock would.  

    Submissive – negotiated control or “joint custody” of control.

    Seriously, play's nice, I like it, and its fun.  But, even with daily or twice daily play there's a lot of hours left in the day.  What am I supposed to do with those hours?  I wouldn't make a good pleasure slave, so I ask these kinds of questions.  Its rare that anyone has an answer.

    I just got back from a week long visit with a poly-house hold which went very well.  When I got back here to my local community, people were concerned that there was no play during my visit, and took that as a sign that I should re-think my assessment or go for a second visit which included play.   Personally, I don't see the problem.  I'm not looking for a play relationship--I have that where I am and, if I were satisfied with it, I wouldn't be looking.

    ..... Hallo?  .........  Hallo?  Doctor, halp me please.  I’m starting to see things and I’m getting very concerned.  I thought I saw the words “castle realm” posted in a thread by Leatherist.  I am pretty sure he would never commit such blasphemy so my eyes must be failing. 

    I am afraid if my eyes get worse I won’t be able to recognize the ERA a flag waving lesbians from Orlando posing as submissives while searching for the "perfect true" Dom so they can trick him into getting up on their impossibly high pedestal where the air is so thin a man is sure to grow faint, pass out and fall down.  Falling down will of course reaffirm the man hating lesbian poser’s belief that men are failures and reinforce her hatred for them.

    Status: offline     		Oh, for heaven's sake.  Can we, please, not bring the Castle Realm debate into this as well?  Castle Realm had it's place, if for no other purpose than to introduce some folks to the BDSM lite view.  You can't argue with something that made want folks want to explore their thoughts, feelings, and desires.

    In all seriousness, I think there was a point made that warrants further discussion.  Personally, I didn't list any particular "skills" in My profile for over a year.  I don't talk at length about what I am looking for, nor do I list many of My expectations.  In fact, for My first six months here, I had a profile that said I'll get to it later.  What can I say?  I had better things to do and I don't particularly care about writing about Myself.  At this time, I have a few key phrases in My profile that I think might interest certain bottoms, submissives, or slaves.  I could go on and on about My skills, but unless someone sees Me in person, My writing doesn't matter much.  I would think it is the same on the other side of the kneel.  The in person discovery means quite a bit more.
