I've been reading this thread but haven't posted and had a bit of a shock yesterday. Had an appointment with an attorney here in Ontario and when we got to the office, I was dressed professionally in skirt, nylons, heels, and top while everyone in the office was in casual clothing. Sooooo, am I so out of it or did I just catch them on a casual day? When I used to work with lawyers in California, professional attire was almost always a necessity, except on rare occasions. Attorney/client meetings it was expected. This sounds silly but do I need to change my standards?
