i was blessed to not lose my landline and was able to contact and be contacted by those close to me.

Status: offline 		wow...Rain...what year was that 79 or80  the end of oct or nov? i was in Humboldt county at the time...we had just finished our home sorta (that home was never finished) and had a lot of people staying with us. major road damage, bridges collapsing, buildings crumbling. so amazing peoples resilience in the wake of natural disasters.

we have a orgasmic thread, already. i actually was going to post in it yesterday.
since, i am so happy at this very moment that everyone i love and care about is safe and doing well.  if you look and feel life right it is all orgasmic. hold onto that thought!

October 17, 1989, everhope. Year of the Bay Bridge World Series, if you follow baseball. They were playing at Candlestick Park (yes, it was still called that then) when it hit at 5:04 pm. Typical Californian, the monster looked at me kinda worried and I just said "it's ok, honey, it's just an earthquake."   We ain't never been the same since... Quakes were fun up till then. Afterwards? Nope.

One of the funny stories out that was that my ex's grandmother was still alive at the time. She was a survivor of the '06 quake in San Francisco and had some of the most incredible stories to tell about it. When the family was finally able to get through to her to tell her we were all alive and survived a major earthquake, her response was "oh, you had a earthquake? Well, I survived the '06 one..." She was so cool about quakes!

i thought it a few times, but i only said it outloud once.
 
from my understanding, everything here in cali is just fine. (fucked up, insane, neurotic, and emotional) oh wait.. that is just me today! it lasted 15 seconds....not long, but when you are rolling and bouncing around on your bed, the walls are moving, the windows are rattling...it seems long, very long. 
alright, now all the talk about the BIG ONE is on the news. turning off the news....
