 Ok this might be a dumb question but if I were to be spanked I like the thought of every time I sit down being reminded that I was given one!  My question is for you subs that get them frequently what can produce the desired effect? We have a paddle,  its name is Tree.  3 or 4 swats from that thing is probably the most excruciating device we have. It was used as a punishment paddle. It had that affect on me bursied and sore  for a couple of days.

but i've also had WONDERFUL caning scenes that lasted about 30 mins.  it was hard to sit and every movement i made i could feel it in my jeans.

so you are asking what toys can produce that. 

Paddles, Canes,  heavy floggers,  and single tail whips.

i think it is different for every person. I can take a huge amt of pain but it is very rare i ever feel it the next day...

In my experience the harder the tool itself the more bruising can be done with it. Canes and paddles are then probably the toys you're searching for rather than floggers. I personally prefer a long warmup before the harsh strokes are applied, I end up being able to take more that way and for a longer period of time.

You can obtain bruising either by having a couple of  really heavy strokes to start with or with ascending stroke weight ending in heavier strokes over a given length of time. It really doesn't matter which way you go, it's more of a question which way you personally prefer. We are all very different.

For me, not much will leave me sore or bruised.

We use paddles, spankings, even canes. I've been caned pretty strongly (felt strong!) and haven't had any marks from that.

When we started out, I had maybe one time when I was truly bruised. Now, although we have rough play sessions less frequently, I seem to have gotten immune or some such.

Like everyone else says, it depends on the person. There are also threads that discuss how to bruise more easily, and how to strike so as to leave more bruises.

You REALLY want to feel it later? Use a rolling pin. Use a paddle, cane, rubber hose, any deep impact 'thud' type implement, but finish it off with a nice deep rolling pin massage, having someone press down on the ass. I've even seen it done without a spanking being involved as a severe form of punishment to both asses and tits.You'll remember that spanking into next week.

Careful, you won't feel anything right away. Done right; it hurts - later, and it hurts - deep.

I've not had anything give me pain/discomfort through to the next day, but the session with the longest after effects was the film shoot, 30 minutes of a very experienced sadist feeling joy at discovering her model for the afternoon really could take a good walloping.  And the camera being fucked so we did the first 10 minutes twice.

I learnt that porn acting is harder than it looks.  As well as coming away feeling all floaty.  By the time I'd driven home though, I was mostly back to normal.

  Well I was thinking cane...they kinda scare me tho!  A rolling pin now thats something new lol, guess I could see the possible effects tho.  I read a story once where this girl was spanked then made to wear her "punishment panties"  I have tried to produce a pair of sorts, used tight plastic panties with sandpaper duct taped about where the butt cheeks are located, it actually worked quite well, I am now thinking maybe there are spanking panties out there?? hmmm gonna do a search for that one!

Master just uses household objects, for the most part. the ones that leave the worst bruises are when He uses an electrical cord for a long period of time, then follows it with a belt. It hurts. A LOT.

I've had pain from just a hand the next day. *shrug* I guess it just depends on how hard your being hit and with what.

Now, a friend has made me a homemade paddle that has SLUT in it and last night we used it for the first time. OUCH!

A hand spanking left me with bruises for days, discomfort and pain for a day or two. 20 really really hard spanks to the exact same spot, left a solid bruise and a very interesting train journey home. No toy has ever left bruises, but then I havent tried so many!

I have never had a spanking so hard i left bruises.  I have had a spanking that made it kinda hard to sit and that was just from his hand.  Master is not a sadist but he finds it fun to see me try and sit after a spanking.  I have felt it late into the evening when i got them in the afternoon.  It depends on what you are used to i would guess.

Anything you are spanked with can give that effect, but I find that leather belts, and paddles leave the longest impression.

I'm not a sub but....I'll share!

Just yesterday and knowing that I wasn't going to see my boy for awhile, it was important for me to have a little "quality time" with him!  *big smile*  Although I had no intention on leaving marks, I had every intention on giving him some pain that would linger - with controlled, repetitive, light-moderate force, hand spankings.  Damn that turns me on!  [:D]   Our spanking play lasted for about 30 minutes (give or take).

Anyhow....
To his surprise the heat on his ass lasted throughout the day and, he told me today that he is still feeling it.

haha, even though i hate to admit this, canes definitely leave lasting welts and bruises so that everytime i sit on my bottom, i'm reminded of how i got them.

I think I need to correct my previous answer.  It's still the same day, but...

12 hours of moving heavy sound equipment round a kink festival, including little sleep, food or drink.

Then a further 10 hours of being awake and busy.

Then a play session go a bit wrong.

Then a very hard play session (got my black leathers, woohoo).

My back is very very sore and tight.  My arse on the other hand is fine.

So, I guess it depends on where you're being hit, but, I do think I'll be feeling reminders in my back for a couple of days.

Bed now, I've been up for far too long, except I can't lie down... too sore :P

My mentor uses a medium size rectangle paddle with holes throughout that can put several bruises on my bottom that can last several days, but it's also an implement that you don't want to put a lot of force into it as it is a solid oak paddle. Also, use various different types of implements and you can still gain the desired effect. My mentor has used 7 implements and i've felt the bruises for about a week or more on some occasions.

I do agree that having an after effect is different with every person. A good 30 to 40 minute paddling with it progressively becoming harder will leave some nice marks and a good reminder every time I sit down.
