I'm interested in how many out there perform spiritual rituals in their bdsm lifestyle. It does not matter what your belief system is, but do you incorporate it into your bdsm relationship? If so, how? (No specifics required)

"In deference to LA: Yes, I used the search function and found many posts/threads concerning spiritual and ritual. I read many, but not all. I am just not that ocd. "

Sorry, I'm just lazy,

The continued living of, is my favorite. Other than that, I'm a happy "lost soul".

The monents we set aside as intimacies, When we reach into others- are the ones I treasure the most. Far and few, and burned into the matrix of longings.

I use ritual in my life, which includes bdsm.

Humans are drawn to rituals.   We use them as symbols for ourselves and others, demonstrating the importance of certain events.

There are people that ritualize everything, but I feel that this weakens the significance of everything by watering down the effect.

I would rather use a ritual only for the important things.  Anniversaries and birthdays have evolved ritualistic ceremonies (blowing the candles out, etc).  Similarly,  if you use a collar, many people have a ritual related to it.

My spirituality is constantly fused with my life. I rarely create separate rituals to mark my BDSM practices with that spiritual connection--instead, every act of living, including my BDSM practices, become a ritual that infuses each act with 'spirit' (defining 'ritual' as a tool for bringing the 'spiritual' into daily life) through constant awareness of that connection to the ethereal.
