I just wanted to put this out there and was curious if i am not alone in this , i kinda doubt i am but here goes . In some of the bdsm exchanges i do or am involved in , about mid way through ,i start to see colors , and sometimes figures and visions . Mainly while in sub like space, in bottom subbie mode , though i have seen this while Topping too but its rare .This does not happen every time " dammit " though with some its more frequently.
I see very vivid colors , and patterns , and view images like dragons and women , its like a 60's jimmy Hendrix , janis Joplin's stage show aka jefferson air plane era with out the drugs .Through looking into this i think its just the connective energies between me and who i am involved with . This is not a bad thing i think its very enlightening and cool , perhaps i am just posting this for a better understanding or seeking more insight.
Some had just told me plain and simple ooh its just your sub space , i think its just more than that .

I experience something similar when I get into the proper headspace before having sacred tattooing done. In my case, much of the imagery relates to the reason for the tat I'm having done.

The first time i "flew" i saw tracers of any motion, especially lights and i would get e-tarded (what i've been told about ecstacy, one often gets a "deer in the headlights" response to light and color) when someone (even myself) lit a cigarette or even watching the pong-like screensaver of the dvd player

This happens to me during sacred experiences where I can "go offline". If I have to pay attention (such as move around or lead the ritual), it doesn't happen, but if can stop and let the connect to the Divine fully manifest, this is what I get, often. I also can have full-blown visions, channel and speak in tongues.

Once I had a really intense vision and another time everything turned red. My perception can be radically altered. I frequently see flashing lights and lose my ability to orient myself in space.

Sometimes stuff like this happens when I'm not in subspace, so it might be just some funky wiring.

I almost always see things in hues of purple when I am in subspace. Sometimes I will see very bright flashes of light, yellow and orange, red....when I see them I try hard to pull myself back because the subspace usually ends up being kind of funky. I have seen many things in subspace...although I guess I've never thought of them as "visions", but quite frequently I find myself by water...a stream or river. There are also times where I am told that I appear to be trying to catch something in the air...but I have no idea what I may have been "seeing" at the time. The oddest thing though is when I can see myself and watch my own scene.

vendaval > thanks for that term description and i have had it happen with massage and acupressure treatments , not had treatment needles in a while but shall be alert for it next time .
Great to know i am not alone on the ride and i have to keep getting back in line .

Maybe you are synaesthesic?
Synaesthesia is a constant (mainly) state, but you might be unaware of your potential to have it unless it is enhanced in someway. I lived with synaesthesia for years through until my teens thinking it was normal and that everyones senses were like it. But apparently not! During play the synaesthesia is always heightened, also when in fear or shock, like when I went into hospital recently. But if you test yourself during normal activites and you might find yourself to be a synaesthesic? These two sites are quite cool.

i am psychic, can do remote viewing (usually of the person i am in relationship with i fwe are apart), but then i use such 'head spaces' in work outside of bdsm.
I have ful visions and disclosures often in dream states, bedsm states and often at random during creative times like writing.
I have Guides who have diferent roles in my life who appear to me. As an identical twin such 'telepathic abilities' were very normal communication tools during childhood. i distinuish such abilities from so-called 'sub-space'.
i am rarely wrong.
It's an ability i have which recently served me to discover someone to be a liar and a fraud.
Often i am called mad; but thus far trusting in what i believe are Divine gifts has served me well.

I see colored lights and wierd shapes when I bang my head against something pretty hard. Or when I close my eyes and rub them in a vigorous manner. No other times though.

Me too!! Actually I get such an overwhelming rush of energy, well....the last one felt like an entire body orgasm, lol. A friend was with me and was a little tripped out by my response.

To the OP, yes, during deepend subspace, I take these really bizarre "vacations" - things are all blurred images or ideas of images, and the images swirl. With me there is a lot of black and white and greys, but I almost always go off on some journey - a magic carpet ride, a journey inside my body...or inside his... Sometimes it is sheer bliss, sometimes it is frightening as hell, and sometimes it is overwhelming. My external reactions can be anything from flayling my hands in the hair and laughing my head off, to snarling and growling, to crying.

He has taught me to remember those journeys and write about them. I think any suspecting person reading these journals would think I was on an acid trip.
