For any serving another out there: Did you ask to serve, or did your dominant ask you? In my experiences so far, I've gone both ways: I've asked some to serve me. I've had others ask to serve me. My experience has been better when I am asked if I may be served.

I'm confused.

Is your question, "I've been asked by others to serve them, and asked others if I can serve them, I prefer when others ask me to serve them, what's your opinion?" or "I've been asked by others to serve them, and asked others if I can serve them, I prefer when I ask others if I can serve them, what's your opinion?" or "I've asked others to serve me, and I've been asked by others to serve them, I prefer to ask others to serve me, what's your opinion?"

Or something totally different.

It's all about tenses, dahling.  Clarity of language is a wonderful thing on a message board.

My wife begged for my collar.  I told her that if she brought me a collar, I'd do it.  A few months later we were out to dinner for her birthday and after dinner and after she opened her present from me, she informed me she also had another present from her, to her.  It was a $14.95 dog collar from Petco.  It's our most treasured posession behind our wedding rings.

In the past i've petitioned to serve....presented orally and written......He made me wait while he considered (it was the longest week of my life).........We then both worked on what we needed, wanted and expected from the other.....We drew up a contract.....revisted every six months.

Neither

I tend to date men who want it all and that includes services so that's just how it is because I knew that's what they wanted from the beginning and they knew that's one of the things I want to do for them as their slave because imo..if you're a slave that's part of your job..that's kinda the purpose of a slave.

Yes IvyMorgan, it is awkward wording. Your first case is the one I mean. Others have asked to serve me. I have asked others to serve me.

i am service oriented by nature, however, i have never been asked to serve, nor have i ever asked to serve.  the men that i've belonged to have never had a need and/or desire for a service submissive.  i have been collared, and that was a mutually agreed upon thing...

i take that back, he collared me with the full intent and committement of one doing the collaring; he felt the excitement of ownership; later on down the road, i found that he collared me because of my desire to be collared by him...

so, any way you look at it, neither one of us begged or asked of the other; we agreed in some sort of way that we wanted to be a team.  a team where he led, i followed and i was subservient to him, more than a servant to him.

in my other relationships, we just agreed to be in a relationship or just somehow were in a relationship with no words to be spoken between us agreeing to such, no formal collaring, no ring, no promises of forever, and still i have yet to serve.

now mind you, every one of them allowed me to serve, but it was not expected of me.

Hum, that wasn't my first case at all, but I do now know what you mean *Smiles*

I've never asked to serve anyone, and never had anyone explicitly ask me to serve them, just had it as an underlying part of a relationship that they can ask things, completely random things, and I'm happy to oblige.

I guess I'm most comfortable for the moment that way, where it's an unstated, present knowledge.  Were I part of a more formal relationship, it would be different, I'm sure.
