Back around January, I mentioned wanting this corset from Alter-Ego (click here). I wrote to the seller, and asked if the cups get larger as the size gets larger. The answer I received was less than satisfactory (she said, "it doesn't matter since you don't order by cup size").

For those gals with larger bewbage, you know that it does matter. Even if the whole corset is larger, if there is a definite cup to it, and the cup is a "B" size, then your DD's are going to feel and look awful - like the corset does not fit right.

Sooooooo, if any of our more buxom collarme chicks has this corset, how does it fit you? Are your bewbies too big for the corset even though technically it "fits" because you can lace it up? And how is the support? Does it hold the "girls" up?

Feel free to PM me if you don't want to discuss publicly. LOL.

Edited to add: How much smaller than your actual measurements did you order? Most sites recommend 4 inches smaller, but some say 2 inches and some say 6 inches. Is the fit true to the seller's measurements?

I have the same problem buying just normal clothes -- especially button-downs (which are required for work)... If it fits in the waist, the boobies are plopping out everywhere, and the inverse is true...

I have no advice, but I'd definitely be interested in hearing feedback, as I'd LOVE to buy a corset sometime soon...

dee has a very similar corset from Alter Ego and the cups are on the small side ( she is a 36F ). She had the opportunity to try on three different sizes from them and the cup size seemed to be about the same in all three. The cups are just large enough to cover her nipples if she doesn't move around too much.

Sizing has more to do with what you are looking for as the end result and your experience level. dee has worn corsets off and on for 8 years and she is comfortable with a 4" reduction and can wear that all day. 2" feels loose to her and 6" or more makes it too difficult to take a full deep breath but looks fantastic!!

If you don't mind the extra back exposure I'd say go with 6" and just wear it a bit loose if you are going to wear it for a long period of time. Sometime the back panel is large enough to cover the gap but if it is not you can add another piece.

Feel free to write My little girl on the other side. (hejira92 if you don't know) She has that exact corset, and several others.
Not to mention the "larger bewbage" you speak of. She will be glad to help you out.
She loves her corsets and knows quite a bit about them. (Size, fit, cups, best places to buy...etc.)

Thanks Cuff, I just wrote to her.

Domino, that's some of the things I was concerned about, the keeping the "girls" in check. I plan on wearing a little gauzy something underneath the corset (I'm one of those purists who, even if the corset is not historically accurate by any stretch of the imagination, still cannot bring herself to wear it improperly). I could add shoulder straps to it myself, I'm handy that way, if that's what it takes to keep the "girls" in line.

I'm a 36F and unless you get a custom made and fitted corset, not a chance in hell that it will fit right, off the rack ones that cover the bust simply don't work for us "top heavy" girls and being squashed is just not ideal... If you additionally have a small waist, forget about it, I found the ones that fit the boobs aren't a fit around the waist, if they fit around the waist I just don't have a chance to fit the boobs in, and the part of them that I can fit in end like pancakes.
I usually go for underbust corsets, eliminates a lot of the hassle.

I have one from Alter Ego, and one from Mistress Barbara (who I don't think sells on eBay anymore, but I could be wrong) The corset from Mistress Barbara was a much higher quality corset than my Altar Ego one. I don't have huge boobs, so, they both fit me there.

Now, for those of us endowed with less, and short-waisted in the bargain, does anyone know of waist cincher sources or underbust corset suppliers who build affordable corsetry that specifies vertical dimensions as well as horizontal? It is great to discover (for example) that Alter Ego is selling a leather corset of desirable design that is also wide enough, but I suspect my short ribs being a scant two inches above my hipbones is going to quash my covetousness. (I'll see what the answer comes back as.)

Alter Ego doesn't make serious corsets, as is evidenced by the prices. You may be happier saving up and ordering one made to fit with similar details.
