[insert reasoning here] In this way, her commitment to obedience and her role is stated right up front, but I still get whatever piece of information she thought I ought to have (and I very much trust her judgement on such things... If she thinks it was important for me to hear, then it normally is and frequently ThePlan(tm) is modified in some fashion.). To your specific story, I don't see anything wrong here other than inadequate communication which happens to the best of us. But to me, at least, your actions and motivations both seem perfectly reasonable. ~Jeff
