Status: offline 		Well ive been trying to think of a topic for two days now..and one has just occurred to me.

What gets Y/you into space? Whether thats sub/slave/Dom/Master?

Im not talking replies like "im always in space its just me and who i am" what im asking about is that space you can get into where it it is felt profoundly...like its really intense.

Im adding to this topic..

What takes you out of space? Like are there some things that can happen that can really just make you feel not very submissive/slavey...or not feel those Dominant urges...

For me it's "connection."

If I feel connected to the person, the energy just flows. HOW I feel connected could be from anything, as long as it resonates.

Status: offline 		i think for me, its the feeling of being used.....when im used for Masters desires it makes me feel pleasing....and when i feel im pleasing....it makes me feel that part of me that just desires to serve...and when i feel that desire to serve..i feel surrendered to Him which makes me feel at one with Him....hrmm yeah Lucky Albatross... connected.

There are other aspects for me...like submitting to pain... sometimes just His tone of voice...sometimes a look...sometimes a direction He has given me...but im not rambling on too much now till i get some more replies lol

Status: offline 		I've never posted before but this is the one topic that I feel passionately about, so casting nerves aside about writing something stupid, here goes:-

For me, it is about letting all the boundaries down, knowing that my Master is possessing me mind, body and soul, as the last person said, it's the joy of absolute surrender. Having the total implicit trust in Him to keep me safe and protected.

With my Master, it could be almost anything that sets me off into that deep, intense, beautiful space where I enjoy the freedom and intense joy of being my true self. It could be pulling my hair, flogging (a particularly fast way to get me there!), spanking or even straight forward sex and His look/tone of voice.

Status: offline 		it could be a look, a touch, the tone of their voice..for me it is a certian person who can get me there. A certain person and our connection. I have to be with Lucky Albatross on this one..when that energy gets flowing...WHEW!!!

Status: offline 		I get into space during the bath, the robing, the preparations before the scene. I lay out My own instruments, I do not allow slaves to do that, and the careful arrranging of whips, clamps, dilators, scalpels, whatever, places Me in the sone!

The crueller the implement the sharper the focus it brings to Me.

When in a non-scene space, a slave can "flip" Me by whispering hir submissive requests to Me. "Lady, please, this slave begs to take the check instead, please?" at a restaurnat one time led to a protracted under-the-table binge of delicate pinching torment that left us all (four in the party) limp with pleasure by the time the meal was finished! Above the tablecloth all was quite friendly. below, I had so much fun!!

Status: offline 		I don't know that I've ever experienced "sub space" but I have experienced a masochistic "head" space.

I have gotten there during heavy beating scenes, usually involving a stingy thud, as from a flogger or a single tail whip.

The one time I popped out of space was when the top switched from a flogger to a paddle (a toy I ABHOR) without warning. I burst into tears, I was so shocked.

Status: offline 		He can push me there with a steady pattern, just sort of lifting me into the space. But what makes me slingshot into orbit is when He suprises me. Just when i start to sort of lean into the haze and feel the pressure supporting me (if that makes any sense), He will do something totally unexpected, and the look in His eyes as i am struggling to focus on SOMETHING...

...well, ZOOOM!

And it all has to do with trust. If i didn't know i am safe in His hands, a jolting change like that could freak me out.

This is a huge joke with all my closest friends...they all know that a hand in the hair at the back of my neck will shut me up and make my knees buckle. It gets employed discreetly in public occasionally much to their amusement.

But couple it with that dominant growl of "mine!" and the deep eye-stare...well, dang, here come the shivers...

Of course, buckling on the leather cuffs is another sure trigger.

Status: offline 		I think the one ritual I have that really gets me into a good headspace is the preparations I make for the scene. Selecting what toys I intend to use....ensuring they are exactly where I want them. The whole inspection process involves putting a lot of attention into the fine details...which in turn helps me to find my focus.

There is a rare woman (sorry guys and others; not my thing) who can make me twist. I meet them every 10 years or so (not very social ;-).

Other than that a week of 'perfect service' would go a long ways. I've stopped throwing new things at my slave because she can't juggle what she has at the moment. When she can I'll start throwing more tasks/training at her.

I've never lost my urge to dominate (getting along in 'real life' is separate and I am often discouraged) _once I found it_ - so far. Enough people (in and out of the lifestyle) crossed too many lines for me to say I would go back across those lines - if there is trust to be involved I will be the one holding it.

The consistancy of His strikes. It used to be a heavy flogger across my back...that rapid motion with no stopping!
I have to say that over the years...my back is no longer that target area...i prefer the strikes across my ass...usually with a cane. Then again, it does depend on the scene too...there are so many variables that come into it. For the most part, it's that constant hit. Mmmmm...

Status: offline 		I agree with Em.... a connection gets me right in form. What brings it deeper is when on pushing a sub, seeing them struggle and then relax into it and let go, seeing them crave and beg for something they thought they couldn't do... mmmmmmmmm

When a dominant tries to get me to make a statement that isn't truthful to me. If it's clear that we are doing roleplay then I can "script", but if it's not, then I need to believe what I am saying. I need to be sincere.

An example is a dom that tried during a scene to get me to say that he was my 'only master'. Well, he knew that I don't use the term master with anyone, and that we were just casual playmates...so I ended up having to pause the scene and clarify what the heck was going on...

Turns out he'd just gotten caught up in the intensity of the scene...and we were able to laugh about it and get back into scene.
