I've dabbled in this business for about 3 years now and one of my major hobbies next to e-mail cybering is making my own homemade gadgets, toys, and gear. I actually have a small, towel-lined case with all my toys neatly stored inside  I love shopping around dollar-stores and hardware stores. I can find a use for just about anything inside my house. Still I'm always looking for new ideas and inspiration for creating home-made toys so lets hear any ideas you can add to mine.
So far I have a few items bought from a local Spencers (blindfold, Velcro cuffs, 2 vibrators of different lengths, and a small rope flogger) along with come gadgets I've made myself and also various items found around my house that work perfectly for my sessions.
In my basement bedroom I have a ceiling made of suspended, long white tiles. I managed to find the perfect area in the middle of the ceiling to tie a rope and create a loop for handcuffs to go through, fixing someone upright. Also I have this neat but old old coiled extension chord that many people have told me they enjoyed when I wrapped it around their body (especially around the stomach, neck, and breasts). It gives the feeling you're tied tightly with a lot of rope when it's just wrapped around you. A neat feature is that the ends can join and eliminate any loose ends hanging around.
The first bdsm-related toy I made was an adjustable collar/O-Ring gag made from a medium key-ring, the end of a dog leash, another small ring, and a roll and a half of duct-tape. It's slightly adjustable and is large enough to slip myself into when needed.
I have a fine-bristled dog brush, flat on one side prickly on the other. Makes an excellent paddle. I have several rolls of duct-tape plus two small rolls of black and red electrical tape. I have 4 bungee chords, one is really long, one is pretty short, and two are medium length. I've collected 3 wallet chains and made a leash/whip out of them, with one end being fussy and softer. Also, I've found that one of those BBQ brushes feels amazing when applied to certain areas. This neat cork remover handle also makes an interesting massager.
My last two items happen to be my favorite two that I spent the most time making and have lasted me since day one. The first is a home made "vampire glove". Basically, it's a left-handed black leather glove with five 3 inch nails have been heavily super glued to the fingers. When used correctly with a blindfold those 5 points create a wealth of sensation and pleasure. But for added pleasure (more mine then theirs') I've added a few diagonal rows of 30 push-pins to the palm that can be used to sensual gliding or a punishing slap.
And lastly, and by far my most favorite, are my twin nipple clamps with optional weights or connecting spring. The clips are made from simple, medium sized, black file clips. Attached to one of the handles is a section of thick rubber band to which a short, thin nail is tied and glued to the end. The weights are odd looking, thick metal cylinders that weigh about 7-10 grams. To connect the two you simple pass the nail longways through the cylinder and let it come out the other end, holding the bouncing weight. Alone these are tremendously erotic gadgets which work wonderful but, if desired, I have a long spring that can be attached to both clamps and tightened to pull them together. I did rough up the gripping side of the clamps with a file, but included a small rubber band around the handles to change the pressure. These are my pride and joy.
