Renski -> Womens Clothing (8/6/2008 9:06:04 PM)

Good Morning! My name is Chris and i live in the UK. I have really gotten into crossdressing. However i only have one skirt one bra and one pair of underwear. Is there anyone who could give me details of where to get clothes? I could even buy second hand. As i lack the confidence to walk into a store and buy some can anyone direct me to somewhere online that i can purchase cheap clothes? Thanks in advance.

Google can be your best friend....................

Yes i did try. I wanted kinda kinky stuff to be honest. Its hard to find the balance between BDSM fetishwear and Regular clothes. Getting a little frustrated now =/.

go to janetscloset.com  I know it's a US site, but if anyone is going to know of a good uk crossdresser shop Janet will and she is always willing to help out people.

Eh, Pontypol is a small city. You might like to visit some bigger city (population over 1M) with a big empty bag, and come back home when you fill it. That's likely to require having a free day for shopping.

Trust me, there's nothing like walking in the Female clothes store and take all that curious glances from Ladies who are purchasing there just like you. i came in the phase when i am even testing the clothes. Most of sellers try to remain cold and behave like there is nothing strange about it, but some did show they were freaked out. i just couldn't care less.

Hmm, i can see what you are saying. but im easily embarassed. it would take just a funny look to send me RUNNING from a shop. This is the only place i feel comfortable enough talking about my personal feelings because its normal here.

Well hun can't be of too much help, but truly if you are scared just tell them it is for your girlfriend. I tend to find the little brown wrapped boxes just as mortifying as walking into victoria's secret and asking to see their bras. It is a question of how hard you look on the internet, there are some good shops and oddly enough based out of the UK. Occasionally I find things on ebay, but well we are not going into my ebay addiction. But as one poster pointed out head into a big town where you are less likely to bump into anyone, and besides most of the girls in the shops would probably be wishing their boyfriend was buying them the pretty clothes :) But I learned early on to brazen it out living in a town of 401, you learn that most people know what you have done before you have even done it. Good luck

Also, if you have Female friends whom you can trust, you can use them as a pass for shops.

Haha, i still dont have the guts for even that. However the website Janetscloset is AMAZING i live in the uk and it costs about £10 for full corset/dress and all the lingerie is stupidly cheap.. I think the next time i get paid i will HAVE to buy at least 10 things.... *excited!*

Why not consider sites like ebay or any other online women's clothing retailer?  There's many sites that a search for "crossdresser clothing" would turn up online, which target men who crossdress and sell "normal" looking women's clothes (some would also sell fetishwear as well) often cut to fit male bodies.  Easy and anonymous and avoids the embarassment of shopping in public.

2 thoughts i have,  nope...3!

1.  good for you...give yourself a pat on the back for posting this question.  if you are afraid to go shopping, then that probably took courage.

2.  don't know if u have the equivalent of this in the UK, but my favorite store here is Salvation Army.  on wednesdays, clothes are 1/2 price, so even if u did not try them on, chances are decent that they would fit.  i got a NEW victoria's secret corset, black, ribbed, with garter, for 3 bucks.  a little short plaid skirt to wear as a schoolgirl costume...
yes, it will be tougher for you.  one other thing i recall is that they are so busy on those days that one time i tried something on right in the middle of the store, which is totally not like me.

3. every step you take gets easier.  after a while, i don't think u will be quite so self conscious.

Renski -> RE: Womens Clothing (8/7/2008 12:42:52 AM)

Well this is the first place ive told everyone. Apart from 2 previous partners. One of which left me because of it. soo its kinda hard really. But thanks for that! :P

AllietheKitten -> RE: Womens Clothing (8/7/2008 1:08:08 AM)

I second the "shopping for girlfriend" beard. Some of the salespeople will be very helpful after that-give you advice in finding correct sizes, sexy clothes, ect. Its all in how you present it.

I also love discount stores like Goodwill. And them there are the slutty teenager stores like Rave and Hot Topic, where the clothes are way to adult for the age group IMO (These are US stores but I'm sure any mall in the UK would have something similar).

Good luck.

Renski -> RE: Womens Clothing (8/7/2008 2:04:11 AM)

Thanks! I might just pluck up the courage. Ill need to revise my story though :P

MsStarlett -> RE: Womens Clothing (8/7/2008 3:45:25 AM)

Is there a UK branch of Ebay?

iwearpanties -> RE: Womens Clothing (8/7/2008 4:46:16 AM)

have you tried xdress.com females thigns in males sizes

SolangeRichards -> RE: Womens Clothing (8/7/2008 6:40:16 AM)

Most every big retailer has an online arm with size charts. Size charts are your friends. They not only give you information as to the cut of the clothes but often will give you instructions on how to measure yourself.

For instance, most of the vendors of bras have online instructions in how to measure yourself for a bra. Take the measurement and give yourself say a "C" cup size. You could then make yourself some home made breast forms to fit the cups from old stockings and birdseed.

Nothing like a nice bust line under those tight sweaters!

You could always go to the store and tell them your buying a gift for your twin sister.

A cute boy like you should have no trouble finding a kinky lady to buy you sexy femme things to wear :)
