I have two border collies. Zak is the eldest at 12 years and Jake is the baby, he's only 7 months. They have been apart for two weeks now, we moved recently and it was easier to leave Jake with a friend until we were settled.
Anyway we got him back today and Zak will not stop trying to shag Jake!! This is completely baffling as when they last saw each other Zak hated Jake with a vengeance. He's old and just wants to sleep most of the day, Jake wants to play.
Now Zak is like manic and all energetic, mooning over Jake. Its worrying i tell ya [:o]

Its a dominance thing. Zak is asserting his authority over Jake. No worries. At least they aren't fighting. :)

LOL... It really is just a dominance thing.  We had some dogs that did that and would discourage it whenever they did it and it was soon a thing of the past.

Or, Jake could have been around a female in heat, or just picked up some kind of scent that's driving Zak wild.

totally a dominance thing.  I had a female dog once that would try and hump any other dog that she spent more than 5 minutes with.
