Status: offline 		oh k tonight was not good so here it is ...i am a submissive who seems not to know anything bout anything...i always felt that when a Dom and sub talked it would be things that they both liked .wht each wanted from this lifestyle .wow was i wrong..sure it starts off that way but then from what happened this evening i am stupid a moron who doesnt know jack bout the lifestyle ...perhaps i dont know everything perhaps my understanding is different than Yours does that make me wrong all the time i dont think it does...we each read things differently we are not perfect....perhaps i am not knowledgeable in much but i am willing to learn i am willing to be taught how stupid is that i ask...

Status: offline 		I have heard lots of stories about dominants who begin their relationship with a new sub asking all kinds of questions about the philosopy behind the lifestyle and why certain 'old guard' protocols are in place and such, and then proceed to tell her every answer she gives is wrong.  This is how they set themselves up as 'experts' and also make the wide-eyed little subby question herself while feeling safe with this person who is telling them all sorts of things that will help her protect herself from the other big bad scarey doms who only want to take advantage of her... and so on.  Welcome to BDSM Seduction 101.  Step one: Establish dominance.

Status: offline 		i have come across what you speak of, hell i even had a  uhum Dominant send me an e-mail, stating he was only soley here to look after new submissives and tell them what is right and wrong etc, and i would be a fool not to take up his offer. i clicked delete of course, only to recieve the same e-mail from him another 2 times.
 
i have a Mentor which was my choice, a very good real life , platonic , Dominant friend, who listens and cares for me. We all have different needs ,wants, experiences, and at the end of the day vanilla or Ds Relationships all begin with normal vanilla needs, like compatibility, interests and our outlook on the world, THEN the Ds comes in. There is no right or wrong, just different needs and eventually we hopefully find someone who mirrors our needs and desires.
 
i am very cautious of anyone claiming to know the "only" right way, as they ten to be inflexible in areas you would not want to live with imo .

Status: offline 		Click delete and move on, unless u like that sort of thing of course, which it doesn't appear that u do....just be thankful you found out online before you met him, you will find your Dom, this person is obviously not the one for you....and hang in there it will be ok. :)

Status: offline 		Sounds to me like he didn't know much either and was posturing to cover that up.  Although we were all new at one time, that certainly doesn't mean that any one dom or sub for that matter is the repository of ALL THINGS D/s.  When I read something like that, it drives me up the wall.  Please, don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you that whatever you think is wrong and he or she is going to take pity on you and tell you all the right stuff.  btw...that includes me.

Read alot on the message boards but only chime in when I feel I have to and this is one of those times!

Swtbabykisses, you probably know more than the one you were talking to. I have been "around" this lifestyle for many years. Have had the previlige and honor to have had many whom have taken the time to Mentor and chat. They haven't inflicted their veiws on me but have listened and guided. They have led me down a wonderful path.

Educate yourself, learn about who and what you are are. Know what you wish to be to the one you seek. If you have that in hand then you can delete the one's that don't meet what you seek.
Don't fall into the trap of thinking you have to talk to every Master or Dom that emails you. You don't!!!!

Your profile is very vague. Tell them what you want! I am a head of household submissive. I state that on my profile. I am not into pain and that is also on my profile, now I do like some pain I am not a mashocist. There are others that are and I love them for that and there is someone for them.

Willing to relocate for a long term relationship is in my opinion and it is my opinion, asking for all the losers who think they are Doms or Masters to come on their little computers and think they can tell you what to do, say or think without getting involved other than to hurt your self esteem. Hense the one you have spoken with.

Buck up swtbabykisses! Seek and speak with one's whom have common interests in their profiles. Be proactive not reactive!

This is still one of the better lifestyle sites I have been on but I could be mistaken and if others know better sites I hope they email me with them!!!!!! LOL!

I declined...we chatted a few more minutes.  He posted his phone number in the room....I politely declined.  He said "You are not much of a sub are you?"            *shrugs* nejisty
