Maybe your approach was all wrong. British girls (according to surveys) have sex younger and more often and with more partners than their continental counterparts.
Oh, and they are less moralistic, less puritanical, less judgemental and go on less about honesty, integrity which makes them less hypocritical than American women. That is from my experiencing several American women. That being said, the puritanical element in the America character makes them very kinky in a rather disturbingly earnest way when they decide to cross the line which can make them very hot indeed. They are prone to blow your mind when they can shake of their puritanical national character but sadly many don't seem to be able to do that.
OK, I accept a massive over generalisation but one based at least, on a modicum of experience.
