Replace the word "slave" with "married partner" and see what comes up for you. You'll need to consider all of those same issues plus the added social comfort level of being out and all the kink compatibility issues.

As opposed to what? Are you already in a relationship, and you'll just be moving it to the next level? Are you going to start seeking that relationship in the next few months? Will this be a limited time engagement?

I guess my main advice is not to expect it to be full-time fantasy. Being a full-time slave involves a surprising number of mundane activities: going to work, eating food, cleaning the house, doing laundry, running errands. Although you can do all of these in 6" spike heels, it's not going to be all fun happy sexytime. It will, on occasion, be normal, regular life. Just with a collar.

There is nothing wrong with having one's slave vaccuum the house in 6 inch tall platform heels and a thong.

Honestly? Just use common sense about relationships same as you would any serious commitment: Pick your partner well, realize that M/s dynamic or not everyday life tends to be just everyday life no matter the details that may include "yes, master/mistress" and/or beatings, and leave if/when it becomes unsafe/unhealthy for you.

From the problems i've read about on these forums, i would suggest keeping your own finances for some time and having an easy way out if necessary. Be sure you know and trust your partner very well and know what will be expected of you.

Thanks for all the advice. I haven't known him that long. I'll probably start out with sessions and see how that goes. If I do the 24/7 it wouldnt be for a few months when I know him a lot better.
