I work with a guy who told me the following story from his days working at a hardware store:
A woman walked in with her two teeangers, My friend looked at them and figured between the three of them they might have had one active brain cell. The woman asked him for some nails. He asked her what kind - drywall nails, ten penny nails, what? She said she just wanted some nails, so he took her over to the ten penny nails.
She bought some and told him that they were just what she wanted. She had bought her husband a hammer and was following up by buying nails.
