Now I had a different reaction altogether. I was offered BOTH a chance to receive the info by email AND to receive it by text message (hell I have no idea if my phone even reads text messages) and signed up for the FREE email announcement.

It's a strange election -- sometimes it seems it's fought more on the 'net than on tv, etc. I'm kinda interested in that.

It's not such a bad thing, PaHunk. I have this person who sends me every bit of attack email against Barry that comes her way. I signed her up for the emails.

I've been on their text list for almost a year. They mainly only send them during breaking news (e.g. watch tonights debate, we won X state, etc).
It's actually been sort of neat and not spammy at all.
