The green fairy on that site put me off.  And yes, I agree it was hard to navigate around.  Things that looked like they should be links, aren't.  But I did get captivated by the stripper pole demo.  It is apparent I need more yoga.

As for what to go with corsets, I am a skirt girl, I would suggest skirts long and short and everywhere in between.  I own more skirts than I do pants.  [:D]  You could always go to the nearest thrift store (or Macy's, whatever) with the corset on, along with some jeans or something and try things on with it.  Then you get real-life examples of what goes with that corset.  Once I have money falling from the sky, I will go for a corset, I am short and cuddly and don't think I am going to find something that fits on Ebay.  Damnit, I love Ebay too.

i got mine off ebay, and adore it.  many of the shops there sell corsets, just do a search.

Yeah, I got my Mistress Barbara one (which I love) off of eBay, and my Altar Ego corsett there too. (I am 5'1")

Hi - Well I guess I deserve getting stomped & obviously you didn't visit my site - NOT - cheap - and NOT tacky
but awesome is in the eye of the beholder, right?

self promotion? m-m-m-m-m      Who else will ring my bell?

hi lynnlouise .... i looked and, well, get rid of the fairies everywhere.  they're extremely distracting and take away from the product.  i stopped looking at shoes at #5

FR ~~

heck, i forgot to answer the OP  [:o]

the picture i get THE most compliments on (which i think i'll add to my profile) was a black corset with a nice pair of jeans and pretty black heels to match the corset.  i got that corset at The Chamber in columbus, OH.  expensive but a GREAT corset.  and that stores has lots of great leather  :)

my second corset i bought from a friend who found it on ebay for about $80.  really nice, pink and black, and it too has been worn with jeans, but also with a black see-through skirt (if you look at my profile it's the same skirt on the main pic), a regular black skirt and a black-n-plaid schoolgirl skirt.

oh!  and corsets that also cover the boobage is by far my preference.  it seems hard to me to find appropriate stuff to wear under the corset to cover the boobs if you want to show off the corset unless you have really perky boobs which, at 50 and chuuby, i don't have (again, my profile pic has the black corset and it doesn't have the top part)

i think travelgman gave the best advice though.  what does your Dom like to see you in?  skirts?  then find a skirt, short, long with a slit, whatever He likes.  or if He doesn't have a preference, perhaps He likes peek-a-boo toe shoes so work those in with the corset and a pair of slacks or jeans.  if you want to impress Him, then what He enjoys will play the major role in your clothes choices ....

and good luck!

I was quite surprised on Sunday when i went into Vistoria Secrets and ran across a plethera of corsets, with matching panties, boy shorts, garters and stockings. Some were on sale for $25, and seem to be of a very good quality. But most of the sizes ran small.

xxblushesxx -> RE: Corset matching help:( (11/4/2008 10:10:56 AM)

But those are lingerie.
A real corset generally has steel boning, which adds a lot more support than the plastic "stays" which are in lingerie, or "fashion" type clothing.
A true corset takes a lot of time and effort to create, and that is why it costs so much.

RE the website : Yep - it looks like stuff worn by strippers - but the cheap variety....

A bit of class goes a long way in this community, and if we want to dress like a slut, we can do that without resorting to tacky websites.

As for the corsets, my black pvc corset looks fantastic with a black pencil skirt, stocking with a black seam up the back and high heels - very classic and Betty :)

as a dancer, i can assure you that most strippers who buy corsets try for high-quality ones and do just as much research as people here. in addition, most of the clothing/lingerie on the site does not look like stripper-gear... it would never hold up on stage.
my favorite clothing to pair with my corset are a pair of skinnee jeans or a black pencil skirt. and heels are a must. :)

G'morning all:

(Fast Reply)

I find it tacky as hell when anyone, submissive or dominant, cheapens a discussion by plugging their products. As to the first website; it's cheesy as hell, the products are as lame as Leg Avenue's and the site is atrocious. Difficult to navigate, poor representation of products, unnecessary flash, etc. The second site while done more professionally, is not offering any bargains. The prices are comparable to many others and has the detraction of being located in Australia. The shipping alone will crank up the price of purchased items.

On to the OP; Ebay is your buddy. Use it. I do a great deal of my fetish wear buying on there. Most sellers are reputable and will send you more pictures/information if you but email them. Be wise in how you shop though. Ask for exact measurements, fabric/fiber content, manufacturer, etc. As to what I find applicable to wear with a corset? It depends on the corset, occasion, material, availability, comfort. Since I rarely wear any of my 4 corsets, only to fetish events/places, only for brief periods of time, and always with someone who can cinch my ties, my advice would run towards sexy, shiny pvc. There's a plethora of skirts, pants, shorts, etc. in pvc available in colors to suit the most jaded of connoisseurs. I'm a basic black kind of gal. Easy to match, accessorize, and pvc is a snap to clean. If you need advice on care of pvc, leather, rubber, or most other fetish materials, contact me on the other side and I'll be happy to assist you personally. Even if it's just to coach you on how to establish search parameters on Ebay.

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others...
