Here's something to juxtapose:

WASHINGTON - Hillary Rodham Clinton's top campaign strategist advised her to cast presidential rival Barack Obama as having questionable "roots to basic American values and culture" and use the theme to counter the image that his background is diverse and multicultural.

"I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values," Mark Penn wrote in a March 2007 memo to Clinton.

AND

This DOONSBURY CARTOON.

Well holy sh*t.  It about kills me to say this....and Gawd knows I still despise the woman and always will...but apparently she did something laudable.

I wonder why.

If this story coming out now is a precursor to Hillary trying to wrest the nomination from Obama at the convention, forget it.  She would never get his base to the polls, and would probably shatter the party, trying.

Either Barry goes big in 2 1/2 weeks, or the Democrats will lose, AGAIN.  And they'll deserve to.
