No, not toys...I know about toys and furniture and the like.  These are more like tokens or fetishes.

For me, number one on the list are those old 'Detective" style rag mags they used to publish in the 40's and 50's.  It's the art work and the story titles..the fact that they used to be hidden from the general public...that I've never actually seen one...I'm dying to get my hands on some.  Yes, to read....but moreso to simply have.

Something about having at least a few is a little corrupted piece of my heart.

Anyone else have a 'thing' that does it?

If I understand you correctly, I'd state, publicly, it's the Star War's collar that gets my blood boiling hot
No, not Luke sporting a priest's collar in "Return of the Jedi", but, more enticingly, Princess Leia, as the quintessential helpless yet lovely slave girl, bedecked in lovely alluring vestments wearing the obligatory neck collar and leash, which Jabba obligingly tugs upon every now and then as his mirth overwhelms him from time to time. I get hard just thinking about this ...

Well, my darker side would love to have one of those replica Hellraiser puzzle boxes because the creatures that popped out of them in the movies were very serious about their S&M... They took Twue to a whole new level!

But as far as something a little less eeeooouuuch!!!, I'd say simply, the book "S&M 101". I used to have a copy and allowed someone to borrow it, but I never got it back. It was the book that I started with, and it showed me all the basics on how to do what it is that we do. OK, its not really fetish-y in the classic sense, but I do miss having it on my shelf.

I used to read those mags when I was a kid.  True Confessions, Detective, anything I could ferret out of my dads garage stash.  And yeah, they used to be up among the adult magazines so innocent kids could not see the images of menacing figures holding a woman with her arms forced behind her and her blouse ripped.  Fun stuff.
You can still find those old mags on Ebay.

For me it was James Bond books.  I started reading those when I was 9 and didnt understand half of what it said.  But every year I would pick it back up, look up some terms, until I got a very perverted idea of what was happening.  <g> turns out, it wasnt so perverted.

The ds stuff was easy enough to find.  My parents used to leave me alone for the weekends starting from when I was around 10.  Dad had old Magazines, True confessions, dectective, some gun mags that always had a good story inside, and.. I found the magazine released version of The Story of O, which had be recently translated and was about to be published in the States.  I guess to promote it, they started releasing parts in a serial form.

Fun stuff,
Kyst

My thing is the Original Batman series, with Adam West and Burt Ward. I was still an um myself when these were on TV, and I loved them in a purely innocent way because, well, they were awesome.
Then, when I got older and watched them when they were on one of the channels as repeats for some marathon... I realized I had interesting reactions to some of the Catwoman abduction scenes (Mrow Julie Newmar) and it spawned many a fantasy. Id love to have some of those old episodes, but I cant justify spending that sort of money on a boxed batman collection.

Just out of sheer contrariness, I want one of those hello kitty armbands that the Singapore police punish their own with.  I think it'd be an awesome 'punishment' for those sillier moments.

That probably didn't contribute much to the thread, but hell with it.  I want one.

I have a passion for naughty miniatures. They are, of course, generally very expensive.

I love depression glass.  It is one of the rare  things I will drool over.  If I walk into someone's house and they have a collection of it I start to covet.  My mother has some pink pieces that belonged to my grandmother and they will be mine one day.  I have some green pieces my grandmother gave me that are among my favorite things.

My grandparents used to have a naughty little piece of art that we grandkids always had to touch at least once or twice during a visit.  It was made out of brass and it was a woman reclining on a chaise lounge.  It had a hinged part which flipped open to reveal her in her underwear beneath the robe she was wearing.  I wonder what happened to that ... they're both passed away now.   Thanks for the smile today in making me remember that.

You are most welcome!

I've also got quite a collection of framed pin-ups like Vargas from the 20's, 30's, and 40's. Several Vargas.

Several Santini sculptures of partically dressed women.

But none of those are D/s really.

I'll third Bettie Page artwork!  On the other hand, I'd love to own the original ramblings of the Marquis de Sade....not that I speak French or anything....just to have it.

Ms. Emp and I have a collection of art that is just waiting for the completion of the dungeon in the new house:

a wonderful "Bettie Page Icon" -- a one-of-a-kind piece with a triptych of Ms. Page, front, rear and reclining, in an ornate decorated frame ala Orthodox altar icon, with images of whips and cuffs and push-up bras decorating the frame,  several Soryama prints, some Olivia prints and a wonderful pen-and-ink drawing entitled "Piggy Voyeur" of a drooling porcine fellow with binoculars looking into the windows of an apt. building with all sorts of interesting tenants.  I love Piggy Voyeur *grin*

Formal wear, especially three piece suits.  And Dangerous Liaisons.  And period costumes.

Katy- I do not collect, but I have researched and been very jealous of people who have pieces and have no idea what they've got.

I like to find lost, sentimental treasures from my past that have no value whatsoever to anyone else--what did I do before EBAY!?!

I go for the Black and Chinese exploitation movies. Especially the evil Foo Man Choo type characters, drowning a girl for not doing the right thing, or something like that.
