I should mention, one of his roomates is his brother, and his mom is at his house very often. If the roomates were just random people, it wouldn't bother me, but I'm really not keen on his family hearing me be spanked. Turning music on is an excellent idea that I've never really done before. A bit of loud, throbbing EBM music should take care of some of the noise.

If telling the roommates to buzz off won't work maybe we should brainstorm. What about a small storage unit? Sounds silly but many here are very private, have electricity and small ones are cheapish depending on the region. What about advertising for house sitting? You know take in the newspaper and mail, turn on and off lights...use their very private living room. I'd just say don't do anything in their beds because that's crossing a line but hey, living rooms or basements work. Might even pick up some extra cash too. I'm sure if we all put our smutty brains together we can come up with other ideas.

Depending on how much room you have make a sound cage that comes apart. Use cheap plywood and egg crates over sample carpet squares glued to the inside walls and make it so that it breaks down flat and goes under the bed. You can use hooks on the inside to hang things from if you like..... however... once the box is up you coldnt hide it if anyone was to wonder into the room... kind of like a big dog house...lol it would cost about $200.00 probably by the time you are done.

Split the cost of a hotel room for the night. Really thats the best way to go. Both of my roommates know I'm into BDSM, but for a heavier scene...a room is in call. I so cant wait till I get my own place.

I have this issue, since I have wee ones (well, not wee, school age) at home, but we manage okay. I am lucky that my "wing" of the house is a converted garage, so its not so easy to hear the crazy happenings within, but not impossible. One solution? I put my radio and vanity near the entrance to my room, and turn it up if things are going to get boisterous. Metallica, NIN, Atreyu and such are wonderful to drown out my loudness.

~~FR~~ I never had the problem of the toys making too much noise. It was my sub screaming that bothered so many of the neighbors. As long as they dont mind "loud sex" (and find me a single guy who doesnt like listening to it!!!) it shouldnt be a problem. I agree with loud music and a gag. If you are not using the mattress, that can go up over the door to provide sound buffer too. :) Rubber spatulas are good too. Nice "thwack" without a loud "crack". As for hotel rooms, they have thin walls too. We ended up really pissing a guy off one nite (it was loud sex! LOL) he actually starting throwing stuff at the walls,calling our room, and banged on the door. Guess the sex lasted longer than he could.....lol.

Earplugs for the housemates. Seriously, if they're guys, chances are they're going to hear ass-smacking and moaning and the minute your boyfriend walks out of the room they're going to high-five him. Other than that, turn on some music to disguise the sound. I experienced much the same problem at a similar age. I made it a priority to get my own place, and by that I mean buying something, not renting. This afforded the privacy I required and allowed alterations to be made, and it became a good financial step as well.

Chances are if you are concerned about the noise factor, your roomates are too. You may just want to suck it up and ask them about it. My old roomate and I had a deal there was at least a little scheduled time when the other could scram for some hours. Your roomates may be willing to "go to the grocery store" for a couple hours on tuesday if you're willing to "run errands" for a couple hours on thursday.
