Status: offline 		It's not so much the subject of death that's morbid; I'm not scared of discussing death and its philosophical implications. It's more the 'how do you wish to die' question, with its angle on our choice of illness... That's what's morbid  .

Status: offline 		Undiagnosed heart disease which leads to a grand old heart attack and i die. 

Growing old is a progressive aging disease. 

If it's not legal in all the states by the time i kick the bucket i am taking a trip to OR when the time is right.  Seen too many suffer their last days and i don't ever want to put my girls through that.

Status: offline 		They say freezing to death is the best way to die. That after a while you just go numb and drift off into space and thenn die.
Its supposed to be very comfortable.
Shrugs.
Me, I have zero desire to waste slowly away.
I want to die as I lived, with dignity and grace.

Personally I want to be stomped on by an elephant while making love.
Think about it.
Its got to be some ungodly good sex if an elephant can sneak up on you.

Status: offline 		what will probably happen to me is get a double lung transplant and heart transplant at the same time
then while they are doing their business on the insides of me i will have an out of body experience and get to know when and how the world will end and know all of the winning lottery numbers and winning of the wagering in lost wages and when all is said and done not get back into the real world and miss that opening and be out there in the unknown forever

death morbid...not if you look at from the perspective of coming full circle or completeing a life cycle. maybe death is so much a part of my life that if i saw it as morbid, i would not be able to drag myself out of bed each day to go help people in the dying process.
but kittinSol...i do get what you are saying.  most people don't want to talk about death...it is the unknown and has a hint of finality. 


If you're a religious person on any level.  Death only means the start of a new beginning.  No reason to fear it.  If more people talked about it we would be better off for our own demise.

One of the largest growing populations of HIV infection is people over the age of 65 from hetro sex. They're not worried about making an oppsie baby so they don't think to use safer sex methods. So yeah, 106 and the newest STD could very well happen!
