I am the oldest of five and a Dom. I don't think birth order determines much as far as whether you are sub or Dom.

Birth order theories also tend to suggest that those of a particular birth order do better with mates of that same order (firsts do better with firsts and so on)

I am the first, I was an only until I was six and while I am very submissive to m'Lord, I can and will domme others. He is also the oldest by 6 years, so while I don't think that the birth order defines which role we take in a relationship, I do believe that birth order helps determine compatibility.

Middle child (but just barely). I have a half-sister who is 7 years older and a brother who is only 11 months younger than me. I've always been very submissive to certain men I choose to be so with. Not submissive at all to everyone else..........luci

Oldest of 3, not submissive.

Edited to add: My younger sister, the youngest of 3 is extremely submissive.

My brother is also submissive in his relationships.

I am the oldest of 3 and I don't think it has anything with me being a slave. I think the two are unrelated.

Eldest of two, and a slave (with quite a dominant personality).

I think this has much more to do with upbringing (I was an only child until age 5) than birth order.

i was born the youngest of 9, then a few years later adopted to a family where i was the oldest of 6. i don't think this has anything to do with my being submissive but who knows.

Same here ... middle child (two brothers, one three years older and one nine years younger), 100% submissive although I've never wanted a 24/7 relationship.

One interesting thing I've noticed is that both my Dominants were oldest of three. Each had a younger brother and sister. And the second husband was oldest of three brothers.

Oldest of 2 girls, but lived the first 13 years of my life as an only child. I switch, but am primarily heavily submissive. I also possess strong leadership qualities.

Eldest of two sisters and a brother

I think for me my being the eldest does link becuase of my childhood having to take on a lot of responsibility and make a lot of descions about other people when it comes to myself i struggle a lot, i didnt much have a 'normal' parent child dynamic and i think that is something i really regret and to an extent find the authourity aspect in D/s comforting
