For adrenaline junkies, masos, creative types, curiosity seekers, rubber neckers, and anyone else: Seek a new thrill. Jaded with the (yawn) edgier forms of play, extreme sports, and day trading, tell us abiut a new thrill seeking behavior. I'll start. Unlock the doors and windows on your home and car, and leave them unlocked. Adopt a habit of leaving the front door open to catch a breeze. Aquire a mass of wealth -- admittedly not the easiest thing to do -- and while strolling along a lovely cliffside or mountain trail, tell your only relative you plan to leave it all to the local humane society. Be sure to add you plan to make this change to your will in a month's time -- after all, there's no rush. Visit lovely downtown Miami. Rent a car and get lost. Drive around with a map of the area open across the steering wheel and slow down to read every street sign. Take in the allure of the area...the boarded up buildings...the garbage strewn streets...the thugs loitering on corners. For an added zest, stop and ask for directions in English and appear very annoyed if anyone responds in another language. Be sure to dress for the occassion...you'll need expensive jewelry, designer clothing and a high-end rental vehicle. Extra points if you can realistically mimic a German accent for your English. Experience psychosis for yourself. Aquire syphillus -- not easy but still possible -- wait say, o, 10 years and -- viola' -- true dementia is yours to explore. Stop paying your bills, answering your phone or opening your mail. Wait, say, three months and experience the joys of financial chaos for yourself. Use the 'net and find a pen pal among your state prision population. Be sure to select someone who is eligible for parole soon. In addition to really purple prose, when wriitng, be sure to include all your particulars...name..address...etc. Take up substitute teaching and accept only offers from the most distressed high schools. Treat your students as badly as possible. Repeat as often as necessary. Any additions? candystripper
