What should I do, I want to be my own person but I also want to be for my master all the time. I am an artist and an aspiring tattoo artist, but I'm kind of afraid to ask If its okay for a sub to have an occupation and a master, because if it isnt, theres going to be future problems, A.

Being a slave is all about being YOU. That whole consent thing means that luckily, unlike days past, you get to decide who you are in a relationship as owned property with. Just make a good choice. Oh and everyone will tell you that you aren't who you say you are and try and make you doubt yourself. Figure yourself out first before you even think of getting into a commitment.

YOUR relationship will be what YOU make it. It's just a matter of finding another person that agrees with you.

For what it is worth lass, it would be a piss poor Master who would object to you having job and especially knowing you are an artist to stop you furthering your commercial art (Tattooing). From my viewing rock, (Y'know how grizzlies love to sit on rocks and watch everything), were you in my collar, I'd take an active interest in what my property was doing and would only step in if I thought you were at risk.

I agree wholeheartedly with LuckyAlbatross and will add that whether one has a career outside of the home or not, most Doms want and respect subs/slaves who bring something of their own to the relationship. And any Master who would require me, as a slave, to give up my career or give up anything that was really important to who i am as a person, would not be right for me and i doubt for any slave. Well, I have a career that I've worked very hard to gain a footing in. I'm collared to man who believes that sense of self is very important for a submissive. His saying is "If you have no power to begin with,you have no power to exchange."

i think any master who does not allow his sub/slave to be who she/he is is a fool a good master will make their slave feel worthy and encourage them to be who they truely are

If you were on an auction block then I would be very worried if I were you. Since this isn't the case and you can pick and choose who you will submit to, this question should be one of the first you discuss with him and let him know this is something you truly want to become. I would think you will be fine in both advancing your skills as an artist and serving D
