http://www.slaveregister.com/

As far as I know it assigns random numbers and you can fill out a profile.

ProtagonistLily -> RE: National slave registration (8/13/2008 3:10:35 PM)

I've been playing in the sandbox for quite some time now, and I've never met anyone that was registered, nor has anyone serious ever asked me if I was.

It's rather meaningless if you ask me.I think you'd have better ROI at the National Star Registry.

LadyBug1967 -> RE: National slave registration (8/13/2008 3:20:30 PM)

I'm registered and have been for several years.  I have never had any comments, yea or nay, about it and nobody I've ever met or played with has even mentioned it or asked if I am registered!!!   I envision some of my grandchildren one day running across my number with "slave" written beside it in my hand-writing, investigating, and saying "My God.  My grandmother was a slave!!!  Why didn't anybody ever tell me I'm bi-racial?"  I'll turn over in my grave laughing.

As has been said before, what's in a name?  Or, in this case, number?  I had my name legally changed to include my slave name, so now I am _ _ _ _ _ _ _ delight _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.   The judge raised his eyebrows and gave me a look, but that was about it.  I only wanted to include it in my name so that I had a middle initial after my last divorce.  And now, even the Master who gave me that name is history.  Ah, so is life  . . . and the lifestyle!

Remember, keep it safe, sane, consensual and fun!

i checked that site out thank you. i never heard of it until this site. my opinion is its almost like a marriage certificate. i am not sure i would like that. i do not believe in marriage. So what makes this different? To me it may be what others what. That's cool. Not downing that. But just wonder what is the real purpose
[:-] forgive me for being curious...

Some people view it as a public pronouncement that they are Master/slave.  Some see it as something important and meaningful; others not so much.  It meets some people's objectification kink - "I'm not a free person, I'm a slave".  It's really a personal point of view.

And hey ... cut out the 'sorry about being curious' stuff.  lol  Nothing wrong with asking questions. You could probably find different points of view if you used the search function for older threads on this topic.

corsetgirl -> RE: National slave registration (8/13/2008 5:29:40 PM)

A question of curiosity, what happens if the dom and sub are no longer with each other? Can that be deleted?

softness -> RE: National slave registration (8/13/2008 5:56:47 PM)

the number is assigned to the slave and not the couple, I was on there as single for a long long time, in fact I only registered on there as Owned about month ago (DV will never notice the date, He just looks at the pictures anyhow)

I like having the number because it ties into my objectification desires ... He likes the barcode tattoo because it will look nice on the back of my shaved head

we like it, fuck anyone else's opinion

corsetgirl -> RE: National slave registration (8/13/2008 6:01:53 PM)

Okay, thank you softness....I was just wondering as I thought this site was solely for the dom to register the slave but this could be done with a single slave, too.  Now, I understand.

softness -> RE: National slave registration (8/13/2008 6:28:17 PM)

yeppers ... its the property that is listed, not the Owner

I was waiting to find The One before I regsitered, because for me becoming an object was a big thing ... but then DV came along and I though ... meh! .. He'll do for now

still waiting for Mr Right though .. think DV has him locked in the basement

sub4hire -> RE: National slave registration (8/14/2008 7:36:20 AM)

It is about as meaningful as those surveys you fill out on the internet.  Or the polls...what kind of freak am I, type of stuff.

It means nothing in the grand scheme of things.  Only to the person who filled it out to make themselves feel better, because after all now someone other than themselves says they are a slave.

A lot of people get upset by people when the person calls them something they don't identify with.  At least with a number they don't feel quite as bad.

The whole, you're not submissive.  They can say...yes, yes I am submissive because look here I have a slave number.

sillyslaveboy -> RE: National slave registration (8/14/2008 11:02:12 AM)

Sweety one. i will probaby register as i find next (and hopefully final) Mistress. Or earlier, be the moment right.

AcademyForSlaves -> RE: National slave registration (8/16/2008 9:32:43 PM)

Hi.

Far as I know the only site that assigns numbers that way is slaveregister.com but I think it just comes with the ad you place like other ad sites and I've never heard of anyone using their number.

We give slaves ID numbers too but that's used for their training so it's easy to keep track of the trainees but we remember them pretty easy by their slave name.

playfulotter -> RE: National slave registration (8/17/2008 3:42:11 PM)

I think having a barcode makes some submissives or slaves, for whatever the reason, feel a bit special and maybe worth more.....Which isn't my opinion but it is good for the site as the more people who register the more they get for advertisements....so it is a win-win situation...i was just brainstorming about this subject and started thinking why not be registered in something that wasn't made up just for the purpose of drumming up business per se and try and get AKC papers (American Kennel Club or whatever the equivalents are for other animals in that person's name)....as even in courts of law pets or animals are considered property only but not people.....now i am thinking of those electronic chips they put in animals...i think even children now..there is an idea for slaves and submissives in case they get lost and their Master needs to find them!

TheTXRanch -> RE: National slave registration (8/19/2008 8:41:52 AM)

slave registration is free so ignore the comment about ROI on the star registry.

The number is actually owned by the slave and not the Master. On the site they clearly state that in ownership disputes, the webmaster will side with the slave. SR is all about objectification and it means more to some than others. The site is similar to CM in that they have profiles and message boards.

You can join as a single and have the option of joining with a username or registration number (or both). You can print out a certificate. In our household, having your slave # tattooed on your body is the final step to joining the household.

Pyrrsefanie -> RE: National slave registration (8/19/2008 1:37:14 PM)

It's a cool idea, but if you take into account how many metal/goth/emo/whatever they call themselves these days kids are walking around with barcode tattoos for no other reason than "LAWL THEY R KEWLIEZ" it kind of diminishes the effect, even if you actually have a functional barcode.

I don't think I'd ever register my boy in it, but I also don't think it has any bearing on whether or not someone's a "twue slave" -- more like if the idea excites you, go for it!

Interesting side note though, a Jewish friend of mine who's into the scene absolutely abhors this idea.  When I asked her why she explained to me that it was a little too close to the registration system in Auschwitz, not so much with the barcodes but with the numbers.  I can see it from her perspective easily how seeing someone with number tattooed on their forearms then might make her a bit squicky (both her grandparents were survivors).

bipolarber -> RE: National slave registration (8/19/2008 4:02:14 PM)

The difference being, of course, that these numbers are chosen by those who own them.

It's roughly the same argument that some people use against BDSM in general: it's a little too close to abuse. Total nonsense! Comparing something like the slave reg to what the nazis did is like comparing a game of Photon to the invasion of Georgia. It's symbolic... not literal.

I wasn't personally comparing them, I was stating something of interest or note.

Personally I could give a rat's ass what people do with themselves or their bodies.
