"Tell me what part you disagree with: 1. The stats show that troops abroad far prefer candidates who want peace in Iraq. 2. Obama is generally regarded as the candidate who is more likely to bring peace to Iraq. 3. Troops abroad give 6 times as much to Barack Obama as to John "100 years" McCain" 1. Well, first of all, every "American" wants peace in Iraq. No one "wants" war. That's silly. Of course the soldiers over there want peace in Iraq, that's their mission..to bring some measure of stability between factions that have been at each other since 1540! Is it going to be peace like in the USA...of course not. The suo ccess of our troops that we have seen, despite all the undermining of efforts from Pelosi, Murth, and the idiot Majority Leader for over a year, makes it possible....difficult but possible. No one is in a dream world here. This is a difficult task and the "I want an instant solution" gang is gonna be disappointed. 2. Obama is preferred as the candidate who is naieve and inexperienced enough to believe that we can extricate ourselves from one of the most important strategic areas in the world, go home, and sing songs with a flower stuck in the barrel of a weapon. Give me a break! He is the preferred candidate of defeatists that have no clue as to the meaning and danger to the USA from world wide expansion of Jihad over the past two decades. Even 9/11 when for the first time our country was hit direcetly, has not been a call to wake up for these folk. 3. Troops abroad give six times yada yada yada.. Really silly time here. You have to understand that we have a very large number of black men serving our country in the military. I would love to see the breakdown of money given along ethnic lines. If I was black I would probably be sending money to Obama myself. Even if I disagreed, as I do, with the qualifications of Obama to take on the responsibility for my family and my country given his lack of experience, I would probably send him money in support. The major good thing I see in the Obama candidacy is that we should all be proud of the fact that a black man can win the nomination of a major political party. It truly is a historic and positive moment for the country. On the other hand, he is not qualified for the job, and that would be true if he was white, brown, yellow or red. Ms. Ferrara was correct. He was made by the press who fell all over him and won him the nominatio. The liberal media made no attempt to vet Obama..how do you vet a black guy, ..and they are lucky that Jermiah, and Ayeres and the criminal in Chicago, along with that lunatic priest all occured not before Iowa, and after he had a lock on the votes. Obama is not Colin Powell in terms of experience. He has never written anything profound legislatively, has not sponsored in writing any important legislation, has never run anything...even his household budget I am sure Michelle runs. It's like making the mail boy Chairman of General Electric. If it would never happen in the corporate world, why should it make sense in government? Oh..and how about that guy who was convicted. Another close friend. Birds of a feather..ya know! I won't even dwell on Michelle...enough will be said about her over the next two months to fill a library. A truly bitter person she..and those aren't my words...just read her speeches. Anyway...those are my thoughts...and hey, I could be wrong... LOL
