What is the Admirers button? and if there are names listed, what is the protocol? Do I email them and thank them or what? Don't want to hurt anyone's feelings or insult them! Or is just a wink or a smile - a sweet and nice way of saying hello?

Admirers are people who said "I will put you on my admiration list." There's no protocol for it. I do nothing. There's nothing insulting about it, they just put your name on a list. If they want more, they can email and ask for more. Just because someone else takes an interest in you online does not mean you have any obligation to them.

You can look at that list as a way for people to 'flag' you (or more realistically, your profile) for future contact. If you have spoken to someone and they add you to their admirers list, it could mean they have an interest in continuing the contact. If it is someone you have not yet spoken to, it could mean they read something and wish to contact you in the future. And vice versa, of course...you adding them to yours. Something to that affect : ) Syn

thank you, both of you! That clarifies things. This forum (as well as the lifestyle - albeit in terms of putting a name to it only) is new to me. I really didn't want to hurt someone's feelings or insult them! I haven't actually spoken to anyone on my list! But i guess if they want to talk, they can email me.

I like to know who is looking at me so I always send a short little note introducing myself and asking them to do the same (and thanking them for putting me on their favorites list). Sometimes they reply, sometimes they don't, but I have met quite a few interesting people that way.

dear silky i dont know ,but, i got one,thats worth a million! and i think they know i know ;they know;the favorite button was pushed when she saw my profile and knows i know shes a secret admirer

When i was first looking over all the profiles in my area, i was tempted to added them to my favorites list before deciding whether to get in contact with Them. i decided against it and just bookmarked the pages since i knew at that time people could see that, but maybe that will give you some insight into why you got added. Other people probably have different reasons too. i only ever messaged one of them, which sadly didn't pan out to be anything, but prehaps that is a tale for another time.

admirers button is like being in school and someone has a crush on you. ignore it...deal with it.....talk to people.......or don't. take care

I agree i am always flattered whtn i see i have new admiries most of them are someone i have talked to before. If i see someone i have not talked to i always send a note saying i noticed and would like to know more about you, things like that. littleone

little one, that is a good idea - I keep thinking I'll be embarrased becuase they didnt' really mean me. But I should, becuase they took the time to let me know. You probably think I'm an idiot but I I tend to be sensitive about things and don't want to hurt anyone.
