NovicePA -> Trans submissives ?? (8/15/2008 9:12:27 AM)

The average age of trans submissive or bi-sex submissive men in my area is well above 40. There is almost no-one below 35 ..

Homesexual men who can no longer keep it underground or heterosexual men who can no longer approach a pretty woman and try to "be" one ?

Considering I don't believe anyone suddenly "becomes" gay or submissive etc later in life, then I would conclude the average age of ALL men in your area is well above 40....

Most of us are "programmed" by societal expectations to graduate school, get a job, get married, buy a home, raise a family and live happily ever after - or thereabouts.  Of course it doesn't always work out that way, esp for individuals who have *needs* beyond what society expects is "normal".  And I think it reasonable that for those people, those needs really start eating at you in your 30's to early 40's - usually after you've done the family thing and found that it's simply not enough.  There's a realisation that something has always been missing from your life and the time to act on it is at hand - tis the age of self exploration.

I've had a number of fem/subs in my life, three of whom were virtual "first day newbies" and all 3 were 35-40ish, coming from a failed marriage and have kids....  It seems to be the age where one concludes that mainstream society doesn't have all the answers afterall.

Anyway, I digress - you actually have a question?

Welcome to the Forums, btw... :-)

the reason they are of this age is simple...they dont want to be alienated by friends and family and their own children.  most that find out absolutely despise the person in question.

keep in mind if your a teenager and your doing this chances are you are hiding the fact.  it is often that the teen gets kicked out if this is known.  very few are in a home where everything is accepted.

plus many are confused as to why they do certain things.  it takes many years of counseling to make sure what your doing is the right thing.

Don't look now but your assumptions are showing. The average age of open transgenders in your area appears to be in the 40's and above. The amount will be the same in people of younger ages, however they will not yet have acted on their feelings. They are still in the closet.

as i said...teens are usually in hiding.  remember even as recent as the 80's if you were gay or trans some were sent to the looney bins...and in other countries they are executed even today.

Perhaps in your area this is true but I have seen just as many much younger ones as older.  Its a matter of where you look.

sorry to dissapoint but toronto has one of the highest populations of transgender in the world....although until recently due to more information available compared to 30 years ago there had not been youngins...because where would a youngin go for info or help?

yet now you got tons of support groups and tons of dr's who accept trans patients ...  its becoming more accepted.  but there are laws as to when a youngin can start transition.  without parents permission you must be atleast 18 to start hormones and such.  these 18 year olds generally will not have the $ to pay for surgery...therefore they might not start until 30's when money is established.

I guess you need to find out where you young ones hang out. And "heterosexual men who can no longer approach a pretty woman and try to "be" one" is laughable - in jail, maybe...

This is assuming that those on here ever plan on being reassigned. The vast majority of CM related trans are more akin to transvestites, not transexuals. I am under the assumption that those are the ones the OP is refereing to... ot those who are pursuing reassignment.

I could be wrong, but I dont think I am.

I think so too. I might be off, but the fact that picking trans in a profile gives you male color-coding of username is telling. This being one of the reasons I myself don't take it. I don't and never have identified as male. I also don't look male much but that's secondary. I do have an intersex condition, putting me in the 'neither' region (sex-wise), and always disclose to potential suitors before we meet.
