I have a sub (more like a bottom) I see on a monthly basis, who masterbates sometimes several hours a day. Since I am not nearby I was wondering what anyone has done to control this other than purchasing a chastity device, or just telling him to stop. thanks

I've had this situation. What worked for me is to take his normal masturbation per day (mpd) and add 5 more to it. Give him set times when he MUST do it. No matter what he's doing.. when the scheduled time comes around he MUST stop what he is doing and give you a calling when ? He'll be complaining about how his thighs hurt.

My favorite punishment is "Sure.. masturbate your brains out, but use your OTHER hand".

Then there is the "hump like a dog" command. He can mastubate but he has to hump a folding chai back or a desk.. whatever you can think of. Just don't make it "comfy".

Hm... i'll take you speak about orgasm denial. i actually never needed a device to obey orders and wishes regarding orgasm denial. Still you'd need a right person for what i went through. i particularly discovered and developed BDSM drive many years before i had my very first sexual thought, and thus sex doesn't mean to me as much as BDSM. What my ex-Mistress particularly used on me to amplify the inner need to be denied was brainwashing. Why not? Adolescents can do it literally 24/7. At age 25 i can keep it at five times a day for days. And to get dry i need about 15 times within 24h. :)

He needs to learn self control. His desire to please you should be enough to keep his hands off his pecker. I'm not saying to make him stop cold turkey, but perhaps save it for when he wakes up, goes to bed and showers. Just making it a routine, cutting down the times he is allowed to do so should help.

Several hours daily? Difficult. A few hours occasionally? Sure.

I concur.

"[S]ometimes several hours daily." gives some latitude. Several hours daily? Not so much.

Okay, sorry I seem to have misspoken. He does masterbate for several hours sometimes, I assume he is taking breaks because he is not cumming. He doesn't do it all the time, but he does SOME masterbation every day.

Does he do it during inappropriate times or with other people around? Could be a sign of sexual abuse in his past or other unresolved issues.

I only say this because I know a guy whose uncle used to do very un-uncle-y things to him and he was forever just fucking sitting there with us all hanging out at the movies, jacking it, and it'd gross us out and we'd tell him to knock it off but I honestly don't think he realized he was doing it. Man, I have been doing so many things wrong. Somebody should send me a new copy of the manual. :-p

But, no. Depending on what you mean by "hours" a day, there may be bigger issues than enforced chastity. If it's just that he's an avid fan of Downtown Lester Brown, than really the only options are a chastity device or telling him to stop, in lieu of being able to watch him at all times. You could try making masturbation unpleasant, yes, but that's not going to stop masturbation when you're not there.

It comes down to willpower, whether the person really wants to or not. I could have jerked off as much as I wanted while Mistress was in Greece and she probably wouldn't have been able to tell the difference, but I didn't simply because I wanted to do what she said.
