Hey, All...

I'm interested in playing with sensory deprivation and a hood sounds killer.  Any idea who makes the best hood?  I'm looking for quality when it comes to toys.  I hear that Sinvention does good stuff...

Or any good alternatives to massively expensive leather hook ups for a beginner?  I'd be interested in ideas from the experienced.    Thanks!

~Bella~

If you have yet to do a depravation or have few under your belt as i am gathering from your questions , perhaps you should try the  cheap route prior to investing in a hood of high quality .You can get  a cheap spandex full hood , add ear plugs  or ear phones for music , additional blindfolds , or wrap the ead in ace type bandages  or bondage tape .Always make sure you have atleast one of the two air ways open for biz .Blocking the blow hole is no fun .The cheaper routes will also help you to know if you  like it and  can handle it for prolonged periods of time  as some can not and they freak or have a mental landmine go off .
hoods can come in leather , latex , rubber , inflatable ,lace on  or pull over like spandex .For further depravation take away the ability to smell by adding another scent  under the nose .

The thing about sensory depravation is that it is really important to be able to read your human.  Since cutting off the senses completely also risks asphyxiation- true hoods are a BAD idea.

Better:  Good Earplugs.  Good noseplug.  Serious Blindfold.  Ring Gag (so your toy can breathe), but add a sensory taste element that is overwhelming (a cinnamon strip is good for this or if you are a man playing with a female toy- come in her mouth... and leave her with your taste in her mouth).  For this play I also love to do the balloon hands:  take two plastic bags- like produce come in. Put a straw next to the wrist of your toy, and put the bag over. Then use a rubber band and secure it- not too tightly.  Then blow up the bag- gently, but fill it with air. Then remove the straw and to it to the other hand.  Once both hands are in encased filled bags- tape the bags to a wall.

Not being able to see, hear, touch, or smell- and having only taste- and that taste provided- can really play with your head....

I'd add a pair of earphones playing white noise - easiest is to tune an AM radio to where there is no signal.  Totally disorienting.  Used by British military for softening up a source before or between interrogations.

All good advice.  Thanks guys.  I think I especially dig the static.  Sounds like a pretty powerful mind trip.  The 'no touching' is another really interesting idea.

I'm normally a leather girl 24/7, but some of the latex and rubber hoods I've been seeing are awesome.  The condom hoods are especially fascinating: making a slave serve while not allowing them to be the device.  Neat-oh.

And thanks for the reminder about communicating with my 'human'.  Good stuff.

THNX!!!
