For the ladies on this board that like foot massages I have a question. Do you prefer your foot massage to be with just bare hands and no creams or powders or do you like some kind of cream or powder to be used. For example, if you like powders, do you like baby powder, talc, or body powder or something else. Or if you like creams do you like regular foot creams or do you like something more exotic. Also, do you like your massages for a long period of time or do you like to have a short intense session like you would have with a reflexology massage. I know that in a reflexology massage, no creams or powders are suppose to be used, just your bare hands.

I have never had a reflexology massage done by someone else. When I have had my feet massaged, I liked the use of a lotion that would be absorbed and didn't leave a gunky or oily feeling. I liked massages that were short and intense and those that took a while... it just depended on what my needs were in pain or need for a massage or the intent of the massage. I don't like powder or heavy scents.

Fuck reflexology. My personal feelings on it would make me burst into laughter halfway through the massage, and not because he's tickling me, if you know what I'm sayin'. I've got a green tea and peppermint lotion that I make my boy use. It is... deliiiiiightful. And it makes my feet soft and pretty so there's an extra bonus. [:D] I don't like the feeling of most oils as they're too greasy, but a nice lotion that can be rubbed into the skin well without that filmy feeling afterwards is my favorite. In a pinch I suppose sans anything is fine too, but for the most part, I gotta have some moisturizing going on.

My Darling prefers Burt's Bees Honey and Shea Butter Body Butter. I like that one, and the Cocoa Butter and Macadamia Nut Oil Body Butter. The only other cream that we tolerate on our feet is the Bath and Body Works "True Blue - Lay It On Thick" cream. Neither one of us can handle 'dry' footrubs. CFB

I love foot massages! I love them with bare hands or a nice scented lotion. Bath and Body Works has a cream I like called "Shea it Isn't So". LadyJulieAnn

I like bare hands. VERY hard. For as long as he can keep it up. I've got a buddy (sadly, not a sub and married to someone else) who has tiny hands... but they are unbelieveably strong. He can rub my feet for hours on end and I love every moment of it.

I do love having My feet rubbed, though I usually prefer it without lotions or creams. For Me, a good foot rub is also going to include a kiss or two, if not downright foot worship. The lotions and the creams usually aren't the best tasting, so I'd rather have the kissing and licking. If there's not going to be any oral service for My feet, then I'll accept the lotion.

I love having my feet rubbed. I hate it when people use peppermint or some other mint. At home in a worship situation I love oil with ylang ylang or one of Lush's many amazing massage bars. We also have a cream that smalls of chocolate which is lovely but makes it impossible to wear shoes after lol. Personally I would hate talc because it makes me cringe like nails down a chalk board [&:] I always have my kissing and licking 1st.

Fox has used peppermint lotion, body oil and baby oil. ASide from needing to wipe my feet afterwards, they all work equally well. I like short term, high pressure massages. Anythig else is just for show, not for relief. DV

When my feet are "massaged," I like it done with tongue and lips. Lotion is extraneous. ; ) Mss

Sometimes I want lotion, sometimes nothing. If lotion, I prefer it to be a type that absorbs quickly rather than leaving my feet feeling greasy. Also, I hate lotions involving mint. I understand that it is are supposed to be stimulating, but I find the scent unappealing.

Personally, I'm really fond of the "fireworks" brand of warming massage lotion, that stuff feels amazing no matter where you put it, and it tastes incredible. The only exception is when its hot out, in which case some kind of peppermint rub can be very refreshing.

Same here -- in fact, mint may actually be so stimulating for me that it becomes annoying. To me, mint burns -- it doesn't feel cool and refreshing.. it feels HOT and uncomfortable. (It's an even bigger issue for my Darling -- she's a homeopath and is on homeopathic treatment herself, and mints will antidote most homeopathics). CFB

If the foot rub in question is during the day or right after work, I prefer no lotions or potions. If it's right before bed, I like a lotion or oil with a light scent and a cozy pair of socks to wear overnight to let the good stuff soak in.

If I'm getting a massage, I like both reflexology and acupressure along with a good touch ranging from gentle to nearly fierce. If I'm getting really treated, I like getting soaked, scrubbed and calluses minimized with Pretty Feet, but once rinsed and dried, my favorite choice of lotion is Avalon's organic lavender hand & body lotion. Cannot be bettered that I have found. Then a luxurious sensual foot massage.... Lady Delilah Deb

A former Mistress of mine had a pair of special booties that went into the microwave for heating. I think they were filled with beans of some kind. Lotion went onto the feet before the booties. OOH! I just had a thought, do any of you ladies have those paraffin wax kits for home pedicures? I got addicted to them when I was still a teenager after I was treated to a day at the spa by a friend... it was so wonderful I wanted to freaking cry when they finally came to take them off. It's so warm and wonderful and soothing and when your feet come out they're soft like rose petals!

It appears that non-greasy, non mint smelling lotions are the ones that are preferred. So I guess things like lilac, lavender, vanilla, strawberry, etc are the preferred lotions. Thanks for the inputs....
