Thadius, I am a gun owner and am all in favor of what she did but I don't think it has anything to do with "concealed carry". On this website http://www.shortnews.com/start.cfm?id=72835 I found this: Leda Smith, 85, Springhill Township, PA, began keeping a .22 caliber pistol by her bed after neighbors had their house broken into. Monday afternoon, that pistol paid dividends. She heard someone breaking into her house, and grabbed the pistol. When she found a 17-year-old in her house, she pulled the gun on him, and made him call the police. "I just walked right on past him to the bedroom and got my gun, I said, 'What are you doing in my house?' He just kept saying he didn't do it." The 17-year-old, who was not identified because of his age, will be charged with attempted burglary. "It was exciting," Smith said. "I just hope I broke up the (burglary) ring because they have been hitting a lot of places around here." Which means she was not carrying it, she came home and found him inside. And she was very lucky he had not already found it. Outlier
