Did he/you sign the HOA`s agreement?

Assuming he did,what`s the big deal?

Sounds like a spoiled brat who needs a spank`n.

"Mr. Osborn said this rule has been in place for decades and the fine would be $50 per violation."

"Mr. Greenwood said his family has a car, a Suburban and his teenage son’s truck, but only a two-car garage.

"I don't want to mess with the logistics with what's in the garage and what's not," he said. "

~~~~~~~
Oh Jesus,this is why we`re fucked.
A frik`n news story dedicated to a baby who can`t park his restricted vehicle in the garage,and save himself this hassle.He`s gotta have his cake and eat it too.
This guy`s a loser.
If you see him,give him my best.
Wtf is the driveway for then??
I cannot stand places like this, there's two relatively close to me, and I try to avoid them at all costs. The last time I was in the one city, some little f***er in an orange vest told me my truck was not allowed, something about an ugly car law. Seriously? I was tempted to roll over him.
The other neighbooorhood wanted to TAKE OVER the public school, and not allow any children in who did not live in the preferred areas.  Thankfully, the school told them exactly what they could do with that idea.
My ideal neighborhood is one where neighbors can't see each others house, no one wants to bother with that neighborhood watch crap, and I can have like a mile long driveway... money is just money, I don't understand why people get all collar popped about it.
Rancho del Sol in Camino, CA.  Nearest neighbor to me was about a half mile down the road, no streetlamps, long-assed driveway, and people had no choice but to have trucks and "ugly" four-wheel drives to get around up there.  It was still a gated community and the *minimum* property acreage you were allowed to have was I think about 7 acres?
Some huge-ass fancy-schmancy houses up there too.  Sounds like it'd be up your alley
My stepmom lives in an older neighborhood.. with an HOA.. last time I saw my dad was when I was moving from CA to GA.. I had my Silverado, with a cabover camper on it.
Due to HOA rules, I was NOT allowed to park there overnight.. which meant I couldnt spend the night at my Dad's house.
bastards.
In a cluster of homes or condos where one joins a "home owners association",the rules are already there.If you don`t want to obey the rules,move.
There`s a zillion rules in these places.
You can`t alter your home w/out permission from the HOA.
Can`t change a window or install a skylight.
Can`t use a color not approved by the HOA.
What you may plant can be limited.
You can`t park your boat in the long term parking.
The list is endless for some associations.But it`s what you sign onto when you buy into one of these developments.It can be sucky at times,especially for guests and family visits.
And you give the HOA your fuck`n money, every month.
I like the private home w/ plenty of room.But that`s not an option for everyone.
If this guys biggest problem is having three cars with a two car garage,he should count his blessings.
What does it matter if someone has a pickup in his driveway though?? Jeeze!  Personally, I'm not a fan of small cars, they just don't have any personality to me- I'd rather see something like my friends driveway, with a huge bright blue Bronco with rollbars and no doors, a rusty teal Studebaker, and a bad ass hearse being rebuilt in the garage. He lives in a neighborhood with the association, but they don't bother him... apparently cars are allowed in that neighborhood.
I can understand probably not wanting people to have 6 cars on blocks in front of their house- but who cares if they have a car in the driveway... I was of the opinion that's what they were for.  O.o
when my Silverado died, it was parked not ON the driveway of my mom's place..but on the yard between her place and the neighbors.. for sevral months while I TRIED to come up with the $ to replace the tranny.
Not ONCE did the HOA bitch about it.
Not sure why.
If there were no rules,people would have cars parked on the lawn,a rotting boat in one spot,the good boat next to it,next to the two junk cars,in front of the lumber and firewood piles.
Like they do at private homes in my town.
Capeesh?
Fast Reply:  Folks, do not worry.  I know Jim Greenwood (if you look at what he does, and you've read my stuff, we work in the same industry in pretty much the same capacity...but he's MUCH more successful that po po little ole me).  If I guess right, in the next week there will be parked in Jim's driveway a Jacked-up Cadillac Escalade, with a BIG-ASS sound system playing VERY LOUD CLASSIC ROCK at the top of the amplifier's limit.  The truck will be painted day-glo orange and green (or maybe a big USA FLAG on the hood) and will have neon, xenon strobes and a strobing message board saying "THANK YOU HMA FOR CLASSING UP OUR SUBDIVISION" -- all just barely within the Association rules.   Jim rolls that way.  Indeed, I'm emailing him this suggestion today.
We`ll give your mom`s HOA a snob rating of  1, out of a possible 10.
How shall we rate your stepmom`s HOA?
Capeesh is a condescending little word. If you meant it in that way, fire away.
I agree with the- 'please, no rotting piles of #$% in the driveway' I said that in my last post.
However, I do not understand demanding that a house which may well have more than two bedrooms only have two cars. What kills me is that its often MORE expensive to park in a BS neighborhood than it is to buy a house in an neighborhood where everyone is perfectly happy to leave you alone unless you insist on being a real jackass.
Emperor, you should send pics if that ever happens, as well as pics of the blustering little fat men in orange vests trying to write a citizens citation about it on a stickynote.
Nope. Didn`t mean it like that.
Condescending? First I`ve heard that about the word.
It means,"understand?" or "know what I mean?"
Nothing like that.
Could be a regional/dialectical thing, considering Italy's got like what, 55+ different dialects going on?
Prime example being that an old proverb my grandmother on the Italian side used to use means in Napolitano literally "Go get your shoes" but apparently in Sicilian means "Go fuck yourself."  Unfortunately nobody told me this before the family reunion.
